I still had to tell Devon we were expecting a baby, but I wanted to wait until we were back and we knew everything was OK. We had split up from the guys . They were keeping the ones that had surrendered in check and getting everything ready for the council to come. Once, they learnt it was this coven. We found they had agreed to attend. Although I think their main interest was the dead witches , and the fact that they are gone now may disappoint them. ” When the council come I think it may be best you didn’t tell them you are from the coven that had resided here, Rosie. The council seem to have an interest in your coven more than what they do the dark witches “, I mused to her as we walked to where her box was.

” I agree , it seems a little odd that they are so eager “, Rosie added. ” Hey, I just want to say thank you for believing in us , and stopping her from killing Devon. ” Rosie looked a little embarrassed.She looked at her mates who had followed us , and the other girls. ” I will be honest and say if not for my mates being here. I am not sure we would have listened to you. Or trusted in any of you. But one thing me and my sisters were firm believers of were the fates and their blessing of mates. The fact I sensed Rhiala and she sensed me , then when Tifgany came on our land I sensed her too. Well, it made me pause the rage that whirled inside of me and think for a minute. Without them, I am not sure that pause would have been there to see the truth ” she admitted.

” Well, I am glad they were here then and the fates knew what they were doing ” I laughed and so did she. ” They are wise ” she agreed. ” Looks like we are here ” Shira said , which made me look forward. The ground was disturbed and in the ground laid a silver coffin. The inside was cushioned. ” Just how long did you spend in there ? “Anthea looked down at it disturbed. ” Just a few decades “, Rosie said, smiling at her uncomfortableness.

” But I wasn’t there. My body, yes. But my spirit and mind were free ” she explained. ” What is it like being dead ? “Willow asked her. And Rosie shrugged ” I can not say wholeheartedly , I was just in limbo. The ghostly plane. For those with unfinished business here. Or those with strong enough will to hold on. It is strange being around people and they are not seeing you. When you first walked onto our land, we were all beside you listening , we watched you approach, and take that first step across the line. But the in between parts where there isn’t anything to pull you here and you’re just nothing. That was something that took some time to amend. It is haunting ” she shivered as the memories obviously had her thinking of it. Everyone had stopped to listen to her. ” Why did you decide to go with them ?” I asked her and she looked at me like I should know.

” They were my family , the only people I had ever known. We have always kept to all females , our visitors that pass us by are the ones that usually father our children. Or when a witch felt she was ready to have a child she would go off for a while. And for some reason, the babies born always ended up female. I was just glad that none of us had any children yet, so none were there to be harmed. That was another reason I found it odd these wolves seemed to me like they were going to stay. We always opened our doors , never turned any one away. But it was always made clear it was temporary while we helped them back on their feet. I guess I was so blinded by rage towards the wolves I didn’ think about my past suispisions something was amiss. But to answer your question, I had no where else to go , or to be with. My family were my everything. “

I could understand that , but not about my biological parents ,it is the family I have now. I wouldn’t want to leave. I just wished Rion could be here to experience it. ” Well, you are welcomed into ours with open arms ” Anthea told her and Rosie looked at her and smiled. ” As well as my thunder , we have many families now ” Rhiala assured her too. ” How do you feel about wolves now ? “Tiffany asked her , you could hear the tromor in her voice. Scared of the answer she would get. Rosie moved in front of her. And placed her hand on Tiffany’s cheek. ” My hatred is completely gone , you have no need to worry. ” Tiffany blew out a breath that sounded like she had been holding onto it for a while now.

” I see this pack is very open and accepting; dragons , witches , panthers. I am hoping that i can fit in there with you two also “. Tiffany dropped her head , but not before I saw the shy smile on her face. ” Shall we bring him here then ? “I said, trying to help draw the attention away from them in their little moment. ” Yea ,, let’s do that ” Anthea said, getting on my band wagon. ” Bottom of the deepest ocen then yea ? “Willow laughed. We brought his body to us and placed him in the box.

” Can you do the spell to seal it ? “I asked Rosie. She nodded her head, separating from Tiffany and Rhiala. It was amazing to watch. I have seen witches. Obviously, most of the girls here were witches, but when she did it , she looked so serene. The lid lifted and placed itself on the box. The energy coming off of her was amazing. It felt light and free. When she chanted, it was like the earth chanted with her.

When she was done , she turned and smiled ” All done “. After that, we made quick work of dumping the box, and I, for one, hoped to never see the thing again. As we headed back to where the guys were , we saw we had company. Enzo was in a heated discussion with a guy in a suite. And around that guy in the suite stood more guys in suits and women in suites too. ” The council “, Willow whispered. Of course, she had seen these people before, from when she had her body hijacked. My hijacker had only ever really been to the council a couple of times , leaving most of that stuff to Willows hijacker.

Whatever was being said , it didn’t look to be going well. When they saw us making our way over to them, the conversation stopped and all eyes turned our way. The male lead’s eyes locked with Willows, a sly smile on his face. ” Long time no see Willow ” he said, but the way he said it made me feel uncomfortable. Raan’s stance was stiff and he looked ready to tear heads off. ” What is happening ? “Anthea asked as she went to Enzo’s side. ” They believe we have been keeping too much from them and that all our new members in our pack shouldn’t be there. They should be under the protection of the council “, Enzo griped.

All of the women showed shock. ” Why ? “I blurted out. All eyes of the council turned to me. The male who had spoken previously smiled my way ” Ahhh Violet , the one Yianna cohabited in. Well, Violet, as the council, we are here to make sure balance is kept. And the collection of paranormals this pack is collecting could be seen as dangerous. We can take them in and find them new homes among their own people. Keep the balance ” he answered me.

” That’s bullshit , you don’t find them homes. You keep them for your arsenal “, Willow bit out like a whip. The leader hissed in her direction ” Blastphamy , do not speak that way of the council or to us. Show respect ” he scolded her. ” There are no laws for us to take in other paranormal. And are you to go against the moon goddess, she reveled our path to us. And this was the path she said we must take ” Enzo interjected , bringing the attention back to him.

” You are trying to tell us the moon goddess came to visit you ? ” one of the suited females asked in a mocking tone. Antheas’ eyes narrowed and a voice I had only heard a few times came out of her mouth. Sianna’s . ” You know we tell no lies , you know it is only the moon goddess that can bestow the title and privilege of naming someone one true alpha and she did that to me “. Anthea revealed the mark of the symbol. There were a few gasps from the council members when they saw the mark. ” You were named and this was not reported to us ? ” the male snapped.

” We have been a little busy fighting wars with evil intent on hurting us , with no outside hurt. First Yianna , then these two dark witch covens. That had a coven of dead witches on their side. It has been a real f****d up few months , and all the people that have come to live on my land have done it by their own free will. You are free to go ask them if they want to stay with us or go with you. As the council, you can not make anyone do anything unless they are a threat. And my pack or people are not a threat. All we have done is act in self defence in these wars. Now we ask you here for you to deal with the members of this coven that is left behind. Will you help us with that ? ” Enzo’s tone was giving off a don’t mess with me vibe, his alpha aura, I bet, was strong right now.

The male looked pissed at being reined in that way , but he gritted his teeth and looked around. ” We will deal with these dark witches. But I sense no energy here for the dead witches. What happened ? “I glanced towards Rosie who was discreetly hiding herself a little between Rhiala and Tiffany. ” Tanya admitted to compelling those wolves , they withdrew their magic from the coven, killed Harry and Tanya and that was the last we saw of them. We have no idea what happened ” Enzo said with a steady, calm voice. “And, there son ? ” he asked, and Enzo shrugged. ” Last I saw him he was under a sleeping spell in that burnt-down cabin. In the fight, the cabin was set on fire. ” Another half truth , but still a lie. Enzo must not trust this guy.

He seemed displeased , his eyes slowly took us all in. But they stuck on certain individuals. Anthea , Shira , the dragons , Willow , me and then he looked at Rosie. ” You are no longer needed here , you can return to your pack and we will clean up your mess. Expect a visit from us soon. We would like to offer refuge to those you have taken in. I suggest in future you keep us up to date with titles bestowed and new members to your pack. The council will not tolerate being kept in the dark . I suggest you get a lesson off of your father regarding the respect an alpha should show the council too. It is called having etica young alpha. As for you, one true alpha, like it or not, you need to work alongside of us. You having that title means you now have duties to keep up. If we are having issues with pack , you are the first point of call to go fix it, being you are the alphas alpha now. He stomped off leaving us all there while he barked orders, ” What was all that about ?” I whispered to Devon. ” The council feel threatened by us now “, he whispered back. s**t that was all we wanted. The council not on our side.
