Chapter 115

Third person’s POV

The dark witches, warlocks, vampires, and werewolves have moved into the old castle and send out spies daily to check the werewolves in the Kingdom. Everything seems calm in the Kingdom. The witches, vampires, and Morgan are happy that the werewolves in the Kingdom are carrying on with their everyday life and appear relaxed. They think that the werewolves of the Kingdom are unaware of the danger. Ursula and Morgan are already discussing who will get what part of the Kingdom and how they will get rid of Andrew and his friends. Andrew and Peter know everything and only joke about the old hag and Morgan counting their eggs before they hatch. Peter and Andrew train the wolves, but Morgan’s wolves are arrogant and do not listen to them. They only listen to their Alpha and laugh at Peter and Andrew when they try to train and make them run.

“Why should we listen to you? You want us to suffer, but the wolves of the Kingdom are relaxed, and we can handle them. It does not even look like they are training,” The Beta will mock Andrew and Peter.

“They are still fitter than you and can destroy you with one blow,” Peter says.

“Really? Does it look like I am scared? I can f**k you up if I like to. You are nothing but a little child who wants to play General> You have no say over us! We will train as we always do with our Alpha, and he believes in strength, not fitness,” The Beta growls at them.

“So you believe in overpowering your enemy, but what if your enemies are too fast for you and dodge your attacks? You will run out of stamina and die eventually,” Peter says. He can see the wolves of Morgan are stupid and arrogant. They are also not friendly to women. Morgan and Peter do not like that at all. They respect women, and since both have mates now, they do not like how the pack of Morgan treats women.

“We kill our enemies with the first blows. It is obvious that you do not have the power we have,” The Beta called Ken says.

“Okay, go and train on your own then, Ken, and good luck in the battle,” Peter says. He is not in the mood to fight about training and does not want to help the wolves of Morgan anyway. He looks at Andrew, and they both feel relieved. Andrew has told their pack about the Kingdom and how strong the wolves are. He also told them that they would fight with the wolves of the Kingdom and that he had to trust his wolves to be on his side. He told them about his new Luna and that he had given up on Miriam. His wolves were relieved as they did not want to fight the wolves of the Kingdom, but they were loyal to Andrew and especially Gretha. They would still betray Andrew, but never Gretha, who stood by them all the time Andrew was preoccupied with Miriam. They were ready to make Gretha their Alpha and overrule Andrew as they believed Gretha had their best interest at heart.

“What is our plan?” Edward asks where he stands, watching Ken and his pack walk away with the royal packs. He also does not like the wolves of Morgan and the royal packs, who think they are better than everyone around.

“We will attack from within,” Andrew tells them as the wolves are all gone leaving only his pack and the wolves of the Kingdom. They can not talk too much as they never know where the spies are hiding, but lately, the wolves of Morgan, witches, and vampires are more relaxed around them as they do not see them as a threat.

“We get it. Let us go back to training,” Edward says. He can not wait to be part of the Kingdom. He knows there are beautiful she-wolves there, and he may even meet his mate in the Kingdom. He has seen the Queen, and she is gorgeous. He has also seen the King and will never say anything to the Queen to make him angry. The King is enormous and will destroy anyone who tries to hit on his Queen. Edward hears that the Queen is pregnant but does not know if that is true. He hopes it is, as the Kingdom needs an heir, so it will be there forever to protect the werewolves. He wants his pups to be safe one day when he is not there to protect them anymore.

“Okay, let us go back to training,” Peter says as he runs up the hill behind the old castle again. As they reach the top, they can look over the Kingdom. I look peaceful, and they can see the wolves are busy with everyday life. They know it is all pretend as the wolves work and train hard but make it look like they are playing games while training. The warriors compete to see who is the strongest and are skirmishing against each other. It seems playful and fun, but Peter knows it is part of their training. Some wolves chase each other to see who is the fastest. It looks all like games and fun, but Peter knows better. He knows the wolves make it look fun while they are training to be fit and ready for the battle ahead. He links with the King, telling him to be ready as the witches, vampires, and evil werewolves are prepared to attack and may attack anytime.

“When do you think they will attack?” Peter asks Andrew.

“I think over the weekend. They will feel the wolves will be even more relaxed on the weekend. They will attack at night as their stupid vampires can only attack at night,” Andrew says. Peter gives all the information to Walker. They run down the hill again, and when they reach the castle Morgan stands there laughing at them.

“Look at you trying to get fit for the fight! My wolves told me how you train. It would be best to stop watching the wolves of the Kingdom and instead concentrate on becoming more muscular. It is the strongest wolf that always wins the fight. Look at me! I am all muscle and do not need fitness to help me in a fight. I got the strength,” Morgan says, flexing his muscles. Andrew and Peter look at him and smile. They know better but will not let him in on their secret. Andrew and his wolves have been training with Peter and the wolves of the Kingdom since the day they joined them. Andrew was like Morgan and thought it was all about strength only until he skirmished with Peter. Peter outsmarted him and was faster than him, and his power did not help Andrew. Peter kicked his a*s, and that is when Andrew and his wolves decided to train with the wolves of the Kingdom and change their way of fighting. They can see that Peter is fit and can kick anyone’s butt. They asked him if he ever skirmished with the King or Queen, and Peter had to admit that they kicked his a*s every time he thought he was ready to take them on.

In the Kingdom, Miriam is preparing Nina for her battle with her mother. Miriam teaches Nina how to fight back magic with white magic and prepares her mentally. She knows Nina is unsure of herself because her mother has put her down all those years. Ursula was afraid of Nina as she could feel her powers and knew she had to let Nina think she could not beat her, so Ursula was playing mind games with Nina. Miriam knows how dangerous it is when you question your powers in a magical battle, and she has to let Miriam get over that mentality that she can not beat her mother.

“Nina, you are not concentrating. I can feel your mind going in another direction. You have to focus all the time on your enemy. I am not more potent than you! Neither is your mother. You are more powerful than you think and must stop thinking you can not beat Ursula. She is only a dark witch with powers she gets from the dark gods. You have to trust your ability and Selene. You are as powerful as I am, and I know I can beat Ursula with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back,” Miriam says.

“You really think I can beat her? I was always afraid of her as she was always putting me down,” Nina says.

“Why do you think she was putting you down? Let me tell you! It is because she knew you were more powerful than her and that making you feel weaker was all she had. So she used that tactic to make you think she was stronger than you while she knew if you used all your potential and your wolf against her, you would become the most powerful witch in that coven, and she did not want that because then you could kick her a*s and those of her witches and rule them. Pretend I am your mother,” Miriam says.

It is difficult for Nina to accept that she is more potent than her mother, and she feels frustrated. She knows she has to block her mother out of her mind mentally, and she looks at Miriam and pictures her mother. She nods at Miriam to show she is ready. She knows Miriam will attack her like her mother always attacks her, but to her surprise, Miriam changes into her mother before her eyes. At first, Nina is surprised, but then she realizes Miriam is using her magic to make it more realistic.

“Look at you, you little pathetic hybrid! You think you can beat me! I am the mighty Ursula, and you can not beat me if you want to. You are weak and will never be as strong as I am,” Miriam says, using Ursula’s voice.

“Really? Ursula, you think for one moment I am afraid of you? I have become more powerful! I am not afraid of you anymore as I know I am stronger than you,” Nina says. Miriam starts attacking Nina, but Nina blocks all her attacks and sends them back, but she also shields Miriam as she does not want to hurt Miriam. She loves Miriam as much as she loves the Queen and Elena, her sister. Miriam changes back and hugs Nina.

“You did so great! You attacked and shielded me! Just do not shield your mother against your attacks,” Miriam laughs as she hugs Nina.

“I am over my fear for her, Miriam. I am looking forward to fighting her. All my fear for Ursula is gone. I know you are stronger than Ursula and that I can beat her! I am not a bloody weakling! I am strong. I have a wolf. I am proud to be a hybrid! No one can take that away from me, and I have friends, family, and a mate that loves me. I do not need the dark witches anymore, and I do not fear any of them!” Nina says. She hugs Miriam, and Ace walks over to hold his mate. He will be close if she needs his help when she fights her mother, but he knows she will not need him as he can feel her power.

“I am proud of you, honey! I saw you sending the attack back to Miriam. You are so strong, and I admire you and your wolf,” Ace says. He knows the battle will be soon and that Nina is ready for her battle with her mother and the other dark witches when the time comes. He knows she is so strong she can take down the coven of dark witches and their warlock friends if she fights them. Like the rest of the Kingdom, Nina trains daily and becomes even more vital as the day of the battle draws nearer.
