Rejected, My Jaded Love
Episode 18

“I am Alpha Thomas Harris of the Dark Moon pack, and if you ever return here for Jade again, I will tear your pitiful pack apart and leave no one left alive in it. She is staying here and if you value your lives at all, NEVER return here”. My sons continue to growl thunderously loud as Alpha Heir Eric and the other man run away from the gate and jump into their SUV. They turn it around and speed off.

I turn around to see if Jade is okay. I see her looking at me in clearly confused saying, “I am sorry, do I know you? I appreciate you getting them to leave, but you don’t have to involve your pack in this. I hate that the Stone Moon pack has gotten into trouble from trying to protect me”.

Alpha Andrew steps up and says “How about we take this back to the packhouse everyone? We will get everything all cleared up there”.

We all pile back into the SUV and Dixon drives us back to the Packhouse, the SUV is totally silent. We all get out and Brax comes up to me and gives me a small hug and tells me “It is all going to be ok. You are here and you are safe. We are not going to let anything happen to you”.

Mason gives me a hug and tells me how proud he is of me for standing up for myself. He then walks over to Dixon and Bree and tells them that he is proud that even in an emergency that they kept level heads and did exactly the right thing to keep us all safe. Bree, Nicole, and Jessica are all still shaking from what we just went through and go over to Luna Monica and Aubrey to get comforted by them. Bryan puts his arm around my shoulder and tells me that we are going to go to the Office and will be speaking with the three men and lady with them. I don’t know why they defended me, but I appreciate it.

Dixon tells me that he is going to take my new clothes to the laundry area for them to be washed and then brought up to my room, but that he will take my shoes, belt, and my evening gown and new heels up to my room for me now, I reach out and hug him, and thank him for rescuing us all and keeping us safe. Thank the Goddess for Dixon because if it was just us girls out by ourselves, I am terrified to even think of what might have happened to me, and another shudder runs through me, and I take in a deep breath.

I head up to Alpha Andrews Office again with Bryan and Alpha Andrew, the other Alpha, and apparently his family, well they look like a family at least. I go ahead and take my seat next to Bryan in front of Alpha Andrews’s desk. The Alpha sits in the lone chair, and the lady sits down with the two younger men sitting on either side of her.

I start looking around the Alpha’s Office while we waited, I was too scared to look around when I was in here yesterday, but I was comfortable just glancing around today. There were two large bookcases one behind Alpha Andrew, and one on the opposite wall. They were completely full of books. There were two pieces of art on the walls, one behind the chair the visiting Alpha was in, and one on the opposite wall from the couch. There was a large window behind the couch where you could see for at least 2 miles with the training field in clear view. I look back behind Alpha Andrew and see two large, framed family pictures, one on each of the side walls on either side of the bookcase. One from about 10 years ago with the Alpha and Luna and three young children, and one that looked recent, as Bree and Dixon look almost exactly as they do today. There is another teenager in the picture, one that I haven’t seen yet. He is obviously the oldest and was the same height as Alpha Andrew, built in a similar way, just a little slimmer in the chest and waist than his father. He looked like a carbon copy of his father, and I wondered why I hadn’t met him yet, as I had already met, I thought, the whole Alphas family. I made a mental note to ask Nicole who he was.

“Please give us just a few minutes, I am waiting on my Luna to arrive. She was calming down Bree as that incident scared all the girls. I am glad Bree remembered her training and mind linked me and Dixon mind linked the Guards. Bryan, Nicole did an excellent job too and with them all doing what they did, they all made it through safe. Thank the Goddess we decided to send Dixon with them to go shopping, that could have ended very differently”.

“Yes, it could have, and I will be sure to thank Dixon and the girls when we see them at dinner.” The other Alpha said.

“Alpha Andrew, I would like to go ahead while we are waiting and thank you for the clothes that you and Luna Monica got for me today. I appreciate all that you have done when you haven’t even known me for 24 hours yet. I will pay for my own clothes the next time. I am used to taking care of myself and I can get a job in town to build my account back up. I managed to get to the bank and get my money out of my joint account before mom, I mean Sylvia, could take that money away from me too. Due to the drive-thru only being open today, I couldn’t get a new account done. So, after school Monday I will go back to the bank and get a savings and checking account started in just my name. Could you please put my money into your safe for me, until I can go to the bank, please? I will buy my own clothes next month as I plan on losing more weight by spring break and I don’t want to be a burden on you and Luna Monica, you have done so much for me and you don’t even really know me yet.” I said.

I heard a small sound that came from Luna Harris, like a small sob, so I smiled back at her, she was probably just as stressed out at the scene at the gate as the rest of us girls were.

Alpha Andrew then said, “Luna Monica just let me know that she is on her way right now and I guess it won’t hurt to make the introductions for the room. Alpha Thomas Harris, this is my brother Bryan Morris who will be taking over the Gamma position as of tonight, and this is Jade Devoe who is now living with the Gamma family as a kind of bonus daughter”. A low growl is heard, and I turn and look over at the other Alpha, why is he growling at me? Does he not think I should be living with the Gamma couple? Alpha Andrew then clears his throat and continues “Jade and Bryan, this is Alpha Thomas Harris of the Dark Moon pack in Sedona, AZ, his mate Luna Joy Harris, and their sons Tyler and Tate Harris”.

Just as Alpha Andrew completes his sentence, Luna Monica enters and greets the Harris Family to the pack.

Luna Monica then says “I apologize for you all getting caught up in the shenanigans at the gate. Apparently, the Howling Wolf pack is run by a bunch of idiots and didn’t heed the warning that I gave them yesterday. Do not worry, I will make sure that Edmond and Evelyn Taylor get it straight in their heads when I call them after this meeting, although I am sure that Alpha Harris scared them pretty well at the gate”

Luna Monica sits down on Alpha Andrews’s lap and sighs. She looks to Alpha Andrew with an eyebrow raised as if in a question and he nods at her to continue. “Jade, I know that you have had a stressful time the last week and a half, but we need to speak to you about an important matter and I need you to stay calm, ok? You remember me mentioning that I was going to check into getting your mother’s information from your aunt Sylvia, right? Well, I found out her name was Hillary Davis, and then due to your unusual wolf color I reached out on that end as well” she said, looking over to Alpha Harris as if she was making sure that he was doing ok too, and if it was alright to continue, as it was his story to tell. Alpha Harris nodded and Luna Monica then continues to speak gently again “well you remember that I told you I may be able to help you locate more of your family members? But that I didn’t want to get your hopes up, sweet girl? Well, I was able to locate some family members for you. Jade, Alpha Harris is your father”.
