Episode 19

Luna Monica continues to speak “Jade, your father did not know that your mother was pregnant when she left his pack. He had been dating her and loved her, but when he went to a meeting in another city, he found his true mate. He told your mother that she could stay in the pack, but she refused to stay and left.

She apparently came back a little over six months later and wanted to speak with him, but he was out of town on business, and she left without telling anyone the reason for her visit. I believe that she was bringing you to meet him. She then left and never returned. Alpha Harris never knew about you until yesterday when I called him and asked about Hillary Davis”.

I am caught by surprise, and I start to tear up. I never knew my mother, but I have a father, and apparently a whole new family.

I see my daughter start to tear up and I don’t know if those are happy or sad tears. From how Luna Monica was talking, Jade was not aware that she had any family other than the i***t from the gate, and his parents. What kind of life has my daughter been living, for her to be almost tearful, grateful for just a few items of clothing? I am furious and suspect that my poor baby had been mistreated and I now wish I HAD killed that moron at the gate. I could tell that my soft-hearted mate was very upset at hearing that my baby had had to work for everything that she had, and that apparently some money had already been taken from her too. As soon as we get her sorted with being a member of our family, I was going to get to the bottom of this missing money and get it back for her.

I can tell my sons are just waiting on her to speak so they can speak to her, I feel like we are all on eggshells waiting to see what her reaction is. Where the hell is Hillary? And why had this Sylvia person been raising my daughter? She should have been with me the whole time.

I figured I had given her a little time to absorb what Luna Monica had told her, so I gently start to speak to Jade, “Honey, I hope that those are tears of joy, we just found out yesterday afternoon that you even existed, and we packed up last night so we could leave after my meeting this morning to come and meet you. I am so sorry I didn’t know about you, but I will spend the rest of my days making it up to you. You have brothers that have been chomping at the bit to come and see you, they would have left last night to come here if we would have let them, but I wanted you to meet us all together. I heard that you are a white wolf, that is how Luna Monica pieced it together, as I am a white wolf too. I will be glad to sit down and answer any questions that you have for me about your mom. We dated for almost 6 months before she left my pack. I would like to ask you some questions too, as I would like to know how long your aunt raised you and what happened to your mother? I know this is big, and a lot has been sprung on you. We can move slowly, and we are ok with you staying here as a member of the Stone Moon pack, but I want you to know that when and if you are ever ready, you are welcome to come to my pack and live with us there. I won’t insist on it as I see you are comfortable with the Gammas family” He glances up at Bryan and thanks him for getting me out of the Howling Wolf pack, and Bryan nods back at him. Alpha Harris continues “We can take this as slowly as you like, but I would like to talk with you while we are here today and tomorrow to try to get to know you better. If that is ok with you?’.

I nod at him and whisper “They are tears of joy, and I would love to get to talk to you all as well. I can’t believe I have an actual family that could love me” and the tears just break free and run down my face.

“Dad, you have upset her, this is supposed to be a good day with the best present that I have ever received, and you have her bawling her eyes out,” Tyler says, and he gets up from the couch and comes over to me. “Can I hug you?” he asks me.

I nod at him and get up from my chair, trying to see him through my tears. He pulls me in for a hug and I cry even harder, I have a brother, no I have two brothers and I hear the other one gets up from the couch and come to me to hug me as well. Both my brothers have my eye color and I see that we got it from our dad. I love having this small similarity, and it also looks like I have their nose too, just the smaller version of it. The main difference between us is my blonde hair, and my full lips, which I apparently got from my mother, and they have dad’s darker hair color.

Alpha Andrew and Luna Monica get up and tell us that they will give us some time alone and exit the office with Bryan.

“What did you mean by the best present?” I ask.

“Oh, well today is my 18th birthday. Hopefully I will get to phase into my wolf sometime today”. Tyler replies.

“I am sorry, but which brother are you? I was listening but finding out that I actually have a family is causing me to be a little unfocused” I tell him.

“I am Tyler, and this is Tate. He will be turning 18 in six months, in July. We are both hoping to be white wolves too. I will find out today” Tyler states.

“My birthday was yesterday, that is the reason that we left Howling Wolf pack. Nicole is my best friend, and her parents; Aubrey, and Bryan, were kind enough to take me with them when they came here. My friend Jessica also came with us as we are all going to graduate this year from High School. And she wanted to be with me for it, for support. There have been some problems I have recently gone through” I tell them.

“Why did you have to leave your pack on your birthday Jade?” Tyler asks me.

“Well, I had a really rough time at that pack and things in the last week had made it tough to want to stay there. Nicole and Jessica were the only positives about my old pack. But yesterday when I got to school, I ended up finding my mate” I told them.

“Oh honey, that is wonderful” the lady from the couch stood up and approached me with my father. “It is always a blessing from the Goddess to meet your true mate, I am so happy for you,” she says.

“Who is the lucky man?” my father asks.

“It is soon-to-be Beta Calvin Williams from the Howling Moon pack,” I tell them.

“But he rejected me as soon as I got to school yesterday”

Thunderous growls then filled the Office and I stepped back in fear. The door comes open and Alpha Andrew and Mason enter the Office to see what was happening and check on me.

“What do you mean you were rejected? You are a beautiful she-wolf, on what grounds would he reject you?” my father roars, as his wife attempts to calm him. “I am going to go there and set that soon-to-be Beta straight”.

I look at my father and then my brothers with the growling getting louder and see their eyes flashing between their regular green color and black, and I know that their wolves are about to come out. Mason attempts to pull me back from them, with the growling suddenly going louder. Alpha Andrew tells Mason to let me go and let them smell me so that their wolves can calm down. I am again drawn into a group hug.
