Rejected, My Jaded Love
Episode 20

I just stand there and let them hug me and sniff my neck, as they slowly calm back down. I ask Alpha Andrew if he can get Luna Monica to come back and give my family the quick version of why I am here at their pack, as I am overwhelmed and I know I would not be able to get it out without bawling about it. This has been an emotional day, and I just don’t think that I can do it. Alpha Andrew says to give him two minutes as he goes to get her.

I ask my family to sit down, and that “I will need you to remain calm because I am here now, and I am not hurt, and to please try to remember that when Luna Monica comes back”.

A few minutes later Luna Monica comes back with Alpha Andrew right behind her. She squeezes my shoulder as she passes me and waits for Alpha Andrew to sit down before she takes her seat in his lap.

“OK, Alpha Harris, I need you to remain calm as I tell you how Jade ended up here”. Luna Monica takes in a deep breath and starts to speak again “Jade has had a hard time being bullied daily at her old pack. We do not know why she was bullied; she believes it is because her “parents” never defended her and allowed her “brother” Jeremy to pick on her and the other kids did too. She has been physically and emotionally abused. A little over a month ago Eric, who you met at the gate today, turned 18 and changed how he treated Jade. He stopped his group from bullying her and allegedly broke up with his girlfriend, Danica. Jade was treated better, and she believed that they were in a relationship, and that he was her mate, but that she couldn’t feel it on her end because she wasn’t 18 yet. Friday a week ago she went out with Eric on their first date. They were going to an unsupervised party at the Beta’s home, with the parents out of town for something having to do with their younger child. Apparently, Eric had a thing for Jade, and she was a challenge, so he was going to try to get Jade to sleep with him, if she refused, he was going to get her drunk and do it anyway.

My father leaps up from his chair and starts for the door, with both my brothers getting up and going with him.

“Where are you going?” I asked them.

“Howling Wolf pack, I need to take care of this right now” my father answered.

“Alpha please, sit down and get the whole story first, it upsets Jade when we speak of what she endured, and I would rather you have the whole story before you make your final decision on what needs to be done. We will be together in this, as we will support any decision you come to concerning what they deserve as punishment as we cannot imagine what she had to go through before she got Nicole and Jessica in her life at 16.” Alpha Andrew advises.

My father and brothers shut the door and slowly come back to their seats. I turn around in my seat and ask my dad if he could come and sit next to me, in the chair Bryan had left. He does and he pats my hand after he sits down.

Luna Monica continues “That wasn’t the worst part Alpha Harris, they were apparently going to record the whole interaction as well. Thankfully it didn’t get that far, Jade told him that she was waiting for her mate, and when she found out he wasn’t her mate, she was done with him. Before she could leave the party Eric’s girlfriend came out and pulled Jade out of his truck and assaulted her. The whole thing was recorded and then released on social media with literally millions of views, and poor Jade was humiliated right in front of the Junior and Senior classes. She was again teased, assaulted, and ridiculed at school with another incident with Danica, Eric’s girlfriend, and Sophia, Calvin’s girlfriend in the hallway, which was also put on social media. Then on Jade’s 18 birthday, the final betrayals were dealt. She was assaulted by Calvin’s girlfriend Sophia and rejected by Calvin at school, which was also posted on social media. She then went home with Nicole and Jessica as she was crushed and in pain. She had her first phase into a wolf, where Nicole and Jessica discovered that Jade is a white wolf. When Jade phased back, Nicole and Jessica were helping her up to her room when they overheard Sylvia speaking to Jeremy on speaker on her cellphone and that is when Jade found out that Sylvia was not her mom, and that her mom was dead. What Sylvia said was that there was a 2-million-dollar life insurance plan that Sylvia was the executor of if she raised Jade. The instructions were for half of it to be put into interest-bearing accounts for Jade to have when she turned 18, and the other half to help clothe, feed, and take care of Jade until she turned 18. Hillary died in a car accident about a month after she arrived at Howling Wolf pack, and Sylvia agreed to the terms of raising Jade. She apparently spent every bit of the money and there is nothing left for Jade. Sylvia bought a large house, and buy’s a new car every two years, clothes, jewelry, trips, shoes, all for her family, but never for Jade, and now Jade has nothing.” Luna Monica stops speaking and there is stunned silence in the room.

I am crying silently, waiting to see if my new family will reject me after hearing how pathetic I am. I feel my dad grab my hand, rubbing the top of it with his thumb, and lightly squeezes it as he says “I am so sorry I didn’t protect you, baby. This will not happen again. I will find a way to get back your half of the money from those horrible Devoe’s. They cannot steal from you and get away with it. I will make this right for you Jade; they will be dealt with. I am too furious at them right now to decide what I want or need to do to fix this, but rest assured it will be done. I am so sorry that you were mistreated and hurt by that pack, but you won’t be bullied anymore. We are your family, and we have your back. I only wish Hillary had said something when she came by the pack. I could have helped her and prevented all of this from happening to you”. Tears fill his eyes as well at all the abuse I have gone through.

Alpha Andrew then clears his throat and speaks again “We found out last night of another problem and I want to mention it as it could occur again, and I want you to be prepared for it. After Jade was rejected, she collapsed and had to be helped to Nicole’s car, because she couldn’t drive, due to the mate bond being rejected. Last night at dinner, Jade ended up dropping her tray and passing out on the floor. We called the pack Doctor who advised us that Jade’s mate had been with another and that it was the reason for her severe pain, enough to make her pass out. She will have to go to Howling Moon when she is able to go through with accepting the rejection and seeing Calvin Williams face to face for the bond to be completely broken. She started training today, and she did very well. She has never trained before, her previous pack doesn’t allow their females to be trained, and she is starting from square one. I am sure with her being a white wolf that she will get where she needs to be quicker than an Average, she-wolf, and I spoke with our elite trainer Braxton and my Beta Mason who advised me of what a great job she did. I believe that she will be a force to be reckoned with in just a few months.”

My dad looks at me with pride in his eyes and asks if I would show him my wolf. I agree and tell them that we can go into the woods now, but that it may take me a second, and I may need some help, as I have only shifted once.

Alpha Andrew then tells my family that they can stay on the same floor as me on the Beta end of the floor, as Beta Mason is single, and the other 3 rooms are currently empty. Alpha Andrew knew that we would all probably be better off closer to each other and on the same floor, instead of them being in the guest quarters on the Alpha floor. I am glad that they are so close to my room, and we head out to the Forest for me to show them my wolf.
