Asher’s perspective

I look towards dad and with my eyebrow raised ask him if that is correct?

He nods and says, “Unless you want to be the one who handles it”.

“Actually, I do want to handle it, I want Jade to know that she can count on and depend on me. That I fixed this for her because I love her, and I DON’T love Ashley. But if I get off from where I need to be dad, please step in to help me. I want to do this right and give them no opportunity for it to be overturned by the Council” I told him.

“It won’t be son, I already contacted the Council and sent them the videos of Ashley meeting Eric and Kyle, to take them to Jade’s rental house. As well as the videos of all the witnesses besides you, eleven in total including Jade’s statement. We needed it to be sent in already as Dark Moon is going to go to war with the Howling Wolf pack in the next few days, and we will be helping them out with it. Jade is your mate, and we will defend her too. Shouldn’t be much of a fight though, Dark Moon is sending 250 of their warriors, and 20 of their marksmen, and we are sending 100 of our warriors. Tyler and Tate are spearheading it Tyler over the warriors, and Tate over the marksmen. Tyler already had busses coming in to transport the men and women going over to Howling Wolf so they wouldn’t be exhausted when they got there. They only expect to have around a total of 10 casualties total. Mainly Eric and his family, Kyle, The Devoe Family, Sophia, and Danica. Anyone who poses a potential threat to Jade is going to be taken care of when they go in. They decided to do it now so Calvin can go in with Tyler and they get the whole Alpha family, and the Devoe’s, before they try to run. They don’t want to give them time to change the set-up of the packhouse, or where people are on their lands. Calvin knows where everyone is and that will help them the most when they get there to attack” Dad tells me.

“I want to go too I can fight, and I am about to be made Alpha. I want to kill Eric with my bare hands for putting his on Jade on the Sandbar and for all he has done to her and what he planned to do to her” I told dad.

“You will need to get with Alpha Harris or Tyler on that one Asher, I was not told that they needed either of us, that Braxton and Mason were both going to go, and our warriors will be getting their orders from them. Alpha Harris was going to stay at his pack, just in case of any problems and Jade will be protected until it is over, Travis will be staying with her until it is over. With their pack not really training and not letting their women train it will be over quickly” My father tells me.

There is a knock at the door, and I get up from the chair in front of the desk and go over to stand next to my father as he calls out that they can come in. I see the Conner family coming into the office, James, and Karen Conner, followed by their daughters Brittany and Ashley, followed by my uncle Bryan who shuts the door as soon as they have taken their seats.

“Hey, Asher,” Ashley says to me grinning. “I missed getting to see you at the Lake. I am glad that you are home now”.

My mom clears her throat and looks pointedly at me.

“Ashley, you were Alpha Commanded to leave Jade and me alone, you were also instructed to not cause any other Stone Moon pack members problems as well with it” I start to say.

“I haven’t caused any more problems, I left you alone. And Jade too. You guys haven’t seen me in days, not since at the dock on Monday, I left the Lake then.” Ashley tells the group.

“Why did you just get back today then, Ashley?” I ask her.

“I went to visit other friends on my way home Asher. Why? Did you miss me?” Ashley asks me hopefully.

“I was just wondering if you would admit what you did,” I tell her. I see her parents shift in their seats and they know that Ashley was lying too. They just didn’t know what she had done. Yet.

“What is this about?” Brittany asks me.

“Your sister was Alpha Commanded to leave me and my Mate, Jade, alone and she didn’t follow the Alpha Command,” I tell Brittany.

“You mean that fat girl that picked on my sister and had her brothers threaten her?” Brittany asks me.

My fists clench up and I grit my teeth to think about what I am going to say before I let the words that I want to say come out of my mouth. I look over at Ashley, and say to Brittany “Is that what you heard?”

“Yes, Jade was mean to my sister and then those guys threatened my sister, so she said to give it back to her at school. She showed me who Jade was while she was outside with Dixon, Braxton, and Mason, so I knew who to look for and I bullied her at school because she told those guys to do it to Ashley. She is my sister and I love her so it was only fair for me to do it to Jade, and besides, I never put my hands on her or anything. It was harmless” Brittany said.

“No, it wasn’t harmless, Jade had been bullied at her last pack. In fact, my parents told Jade to tell them if anyone did it to her at this pack. The fact that Jade didn’t tell on you speaks volumes about her character. And you bullying her speaks volumes about yours too Brittany. Your sister lied to you, she reversed what had happened so Jade got bullied by your sister and then by you, which is why Jade didn’t know what you were talking about when you stopped her in the cafeteria. You had it twisted from the source, your own sister lied to you to get you to pick on someone that she was already bullying. Ashley? You want to tell your sister what actually happened in the dining room here?” I ask her.

“No, she did come up to us while we were talking to them and interrupted us while we were talking. We were there first, and she just comes wandering up on us and keeps us from talking to the guys. It wasn’t like she had a chance with them anyway, she was fat, she didn’t need to be there with those hot guys anyway, they weren’t going to choose her over me” Ashley tells me, shrugging and looking away.

“Well, I already heard it from the “hot guys” mouths, and they were talking to you and your friend, but they were waiting on Jade. They were all going to go shopping together and they had arranged to meet Jade in the dining room before they left. They ASKED her to meet them there. She is their sister and you showing your true self to them, let them know that they had dodged a bullet on that one. They saw you for the malicious and ugly person that you are when you spoke like that to Jade. They actually told me beautiful on the outside, and ugly on the inside. You then totally lied to Brittany about what really happened, and you basically did all of this yourself, but you have condemned your whole family with your actions Ashley” I told her.

Brittany looks at Ashley like she was waiting on her to deny it, but Ashley remains quiet and doesn’t say a word, not even looking at Brittany or at her parents.

I looked at my dad and he nodded to me to keep going, I took a deep breath and then continued on, “Ashley, did you speak with soon-to-be Alpha Eric Taylor, about Jade?

“No, I didn’t. I don’t even know him, how could I have even spoken to him, if I don’t know him?” Ashley said to me.

“Ok, so you have never met soon-to-be Alpha Taylor, right?” I said to her.

“Right,” Ashley said and let out a little laugh, and looked over at her parents.

“So, if I said that I personally saw you with him?” I asked her.

“What! When?” Ashley asked me.

“Well, according to you, you don’t even know him, so which is it, Ashley?” I asked her.
