Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 101

Sophia’s POV

Kane had just come through the doors and interrupted our meeting. How did he even know about it? Nobody had told him about it. How did he get around his guard? His eyes scanned the room, looking at all the people there. When his eyes landed on us, he stepped forward and began to speak.

“Xander, Sophia, I need to speak with you in private right now.”

“I am sorry, but we’re in a meeting and you will need to wait outside for now,” Xander said.

“This is an emergency situation; I need you now.”

Xander g*****d and looked around.

“Please excuse us for just a moment, apparently there is something I need to attend to for a moment.”

He grabbed my hand and led me towards Kane. He walked past him and through the door. As soon as the door shut, Xander growled at Kane.

“This better be f*****g important. You interrupted an important meeting.”

“I have two things to say here, Xan, and you need to listen carefully because I don’t know what is going on in there but there is a problem.”

“Did you just call me Xan?”

“Ya, it’s what I’ve always called you.”

“Oh goddess, did you get your memories back?” I asked with my eyes filling up with tears.

“Yes, baby girl, I did. Everything. I remember everything.”

I let the tears run down my face and jumped into his arms and started sobbing. I had my mate back. My heart was full again. With him by my side, I could do this.

“You said you had two things to say. What is the other?” Xander asked.

“Ya about that, you have a guy sitting in there that is a witch, and he is King Jag’s second in command.”

“Are you sure about that?”

“100% sure, I worked with him all the time. If you let him go, he is going to run to King Jag and tell him everything.”

“How do we even imprison a witch? They could just do a transporting spell if they wanted.” Kane asked.

“Wait, what if we feed him false information and let him go back and tell King Jag that, and then we can have the upper hand,” I asked.

“Beautiful, that is a great idea. I need to stall this meeting so we can come up with something else.”

“Let’s tell them we have a slight emergency and that they are free to mingle, and we will serve them lunch soon,” I said.

“Kane, you need to go back to your room for now. I am sorry, I still don’t trust you yet. It’s fine, but can I at least go see my son instead?”

I leaned in and gave him a k**s and told him he was with Luna in her room. He kissed me again before he left, but when he did, I could hear Xander m**n a little bit.

“What is wrong?”

“I can feel it when you k**s him.”

“I am sorry. I will refrain from doing that anymore.”

We walked back into the room, and he led me back to the podium and stood up at the microphone to talk to them.

“I apologize for that rude interruption. I have a small emergency that I need to handle. It shouldn’t take long but please feel free to mingle and we will have lunch served soon for you.”

Xander grabbed my hand again and headed out of the room. He got his dad’s, Konner’s, and Trevor’s attention and told them to follow us. As soon as we had gotten out of earshot his dad asked, “what is going on son?”

“Please just come to your room and I will explain things.”

We finally made it to their room and found Kane had his son and was walking around the room talking to him. He was telling him stories about wolves and their power. It made my heart melt. When he finally noticed, we had come into the room, he came right over to me and engulfed me in a hug and leaned down, and said “Baby girl, thank you, you have given the most precious gift anyone could ever have. I love you and my son so much.”

“I love you too, and I am glad that you get to be a part of his life.”

“I hate to break up this love fest, but we need to figure this out real fast,” Xander said.

“Sorry, I can’t help it, I have missed so much.”

“Kane, please explain what is going on.”

“I woke up from a short nap today and my memories have returned. I remember everything that has ever happened. I was excited and wanted to tell Xander and Sophia immediately and when I barged into their meeting, I saw they had a witch in there. It just so happens that the witch is King Jags’ second in command.”

“What the f**k?” Murmured Konner.

“Dude, you have a problem with me suddenly?”

“Yes, you f*****g left. You were dead and now you’re just suddenly back and you expect things to be the same. You f*****g died. I grieved you. I am still grieving for you. You left me and I had no one left.”

Kane handed me the baby, walked over to his brother, and wrapped his arms around him and held him. Konner began crying and just completely broke down.

“Ashley, please come to the Luan and Alpha’s room. Konner needs you,” I linked her.

We were all just watching the reunion between Kane and Konner when Ashley knocked on the door and came in. Everyone turned to look at her and she seemed really confused. She had Zane in her arms as she walked over to Konner to see what was going on, but before she could get there she was engulfed by Kane in a huge. He finally pulled back and said “I am sorry Ashley, but I remember. Things are a little emotional around here.”

“Kane, I want you to meet your nephew, Zane,” Konner said.

“Holy s**t, I have a nephew also?” he asked as he took the baby from Ashley.

“Yes, the boys are only a few days apart.”

“Oh goddess, it’s the three of us all over again. I am sorry, girls, but, were all in trouble when they’re older.”

“Agreed, but please let us continue this. We don’t have a long time. Does anyone have a plan we can give this witch to take back to King Jag?” Xander asked.

“He wants to wait to attack when he thinks Sophia is weak. He wants Xander to leave, he thinks he can then come in and take her with ease.” Kane said.

“What if we bait him here with that? Take this emergency and make it seem as if you had to leave suddenly, send all of our extra help away, and the pack just needs to be alone for a few days. We can have Trevor use a transportation spell and bring everyone back just as he strikes.” I said.

“That’s actually a great idea beautiful. Let’s go back and tell them our plan. Kane, I am going to pretend that you haven’t regained your memories. I want them to think you are still on his side. I am going to have you call him later also and tell them you overheard our meeting and give him the same information and see if you can figure out a time when he will be here. Trevor, I need you to communicate with the witches what is going on and I will make sure all the Alpha’s know.”

Xander grabbed my hand and led us back to the conference room with Trevor, Alpha Ty, and Konner right behind us. He walked right back up to the stage and addressed everyone at the microphone.

“I apologize for that interruption. That is an untrusted old pack member who I am going to have to get rid of. He has caused somewhat of an emergency and I must attend some emergency business due to it, along with my Beta Konner. I do ask that you all give us a week for my pack to collect themselves and have some privacy. At this time, I ask that you all return home and when things have settled down here, I will contact you again. I know that some of you have been staying here, so I understand when you can’t leave until morning. My Luna and I appreciate your understanding of this.”

He stepped off the podium, grabbed my hand, and headed out of the conference room.

He marched right back up to the Luna and Alpha’s room, with all of us behind him.

“Dad, please communicate with the Alpha’s about what is going on, and Trevor, I trust that you will do the same. We need a central location for all of them. I am hoping another Alpha will step up and help us. Konner pack a bag because we are leaving soon.”

Konner and Ashley left along with Alpha Ty and Trevor and Xander went over and picked up both boys and went to sit on the couch. I went and sat by him playing with the babies, trying to make them smile, but they were still too young for that.

“Beautiful, we need to go pack my bags as well. I also want to see Lucy before I go. Will you be ok by yourself while I am gone?”

“Baby girl, I am here also and I would love to help with the boys.”

I turned to smile at him and tell him yes and Xander just growled at him.

“What the hell is your problem? That is Kane and he will be back in our room. You happen to be holding his son and loving him, he deserves that too.” I mind-linked him.

I blocked the link so he couldn’t reply back. I took Alexander from him and headed for our room. They both followed me. I knew this was going to be another fight, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kane was moving back here.
