Sophia’s POV

I can’t believe Stella punched him. “Stella, what the hell?”

“Sorry, he was being an a*****e, and needed to be put in his place. Nobody talks or treats us like that anymore.”

“Stella, I love you, thank you.”

“I know, I got you girl, now can we go shopping?”

“We don’t have any money.”

“Hold on.”

What is she doing? She put a block up and is taking forever. I swear to goddess if she is talking with Jax I will kill her myself.

“Done, go downstairs.”

“What did you do?”

“If you will just go downstairs, you will see.”

I went downstairs and at the bottom of the stairs, Kanes was waiting for me.

“Baby girl, I am sorry I didn’t even think about giving you my card.”

“Kane, I can’t take this.”

“You will. I won’t take no for an answer. Also, you should go to the lingerie and get me a few things.”

“You want to wear women’s lingerie?”

He leaned in and whispered in my ear “No baby girl, I want to peel it off your body while I am pleasuring you.”

His words had sent a pool of wetness down to my panties.

Two can play this game. I leaned in and whispered to him “Kane, if you keep talking like that we’re gonna have to go upstairs because my panties are getting wet.” I kissed him on the cheek and snatched the card out of his hand and walked away.

We all finally piled into the cars and took off.

“Sophia, are you ok?” Avery asked.

“Yes, sorry about that. I was having a moment.”

“Dear, we all have moments. Now was my son the cause of this or was it Kane. Well hell, they are both my sons!”

“Oh um well, let’s not talk about that. I do have something I want to talk about and show you girls.”

“Of course Sophia, you can talk to us about anything but your s*x life. Please leave that to just Sara. I don’t want to know anything about my brother!”

Everyone started laughing about that. This was a hard thing for me to talk about, but my therapist said talking with people I completely trust is a good thing and I trust these girls with my life.

“OK, so I started training today and Stella told me that we can heal my scars.”

“How is that possible?” Sara asked.

“Well it’s a process and I have tried a couple of times and I have managed to get some smalls to disappear. I was looking at dresses last night and I fell in love with some backless ones, but my scars bug me. I am hoping that I can heal them enough that I can wear one.”

“Sophia, you are beautiful with your scars, but I can understand how you feel.”

“I am going to show you guys and tell me you what you think.”

I showed them the scar I was going to try and heal. They all just stared at it, while I closed my eyes and called Stella forward. I really focused on that scar and healing it and having new skin over it. Once I heard them gasping in surprise, I opened my eyes and they all just looked at me with surprise.

“Holy goddess Sophia, that was amazing,” Sara said.

“Sohpia, you are getting a backless dress and I don’t care what you think. I know you will have those scars healed in no time. That was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen,” Luna Caroline said.

We had finally arrived at the mall and we all got out and headed inside. This place was a little overwhelming. I’ve never even been shopping and now here I am with my best friends. There were so many people and stores. I was a little lost.

“Come on dear, we will not leave you, I promise.” Luna Caroline said.

We walked into the first dress store and Avery immediately went to the evening dresses. She wanted a simple black dress, that was short and off one shoulder and tight fitting. She was going to pair it with a pair of black heels and wear her hair down in soft curls. She could go in a potato sack and look great. I started to look at dresses and pulled a few out to look at more closely, but nothing was standing out to me. Luna Caroline came over with a hand full of dresses for me to try on. She had all sorts of different colors for me. She had white, black, silver, green, blue, pink and more.

“Luna Caroline, I don’t know if some of those will go with our colors.”

“Oh, I know, but if you like the dress, we can order it in any color you like.” She said as she pushed me back to the dressing room.

A sales lady wrote my name on the door and asked if I had the appropriate undergarments on. I must have given her a funny look because she asked if I had a strapless bra on and if I would be wearing a waist trimmer. I had no clue what she was talking about.

“Let me just go get you some.” She huffed at me and left. She came back and threw them in my face and pushed me in the room all the way and shut the door. She was a real peach.

I grabbed the first dress and started to put it on. It was a green fitted dress that tied around my neck. It made my small boobs look great, but I wasn’t feeling this dress.

“Sophia, I want to see every dress that you put on. So hurry up and get out here.”

I opened the door and Luna Caroline must have thought the same thing as me as, she just shook her head no. I turned around to go back in, when I heard the sales lady gasp as soon as she saw my back. My face was turning red because of it.

“Girl, she is human. Just ignore her.” Stella told me.

I decided to dig through the dress to see if any caught my eye. I didn’t see much that I wanted to try on, but the silver dress was nice. I put it on. It was a thin silk material that clung to me in all the right places and had thin straps that were jeweled and had kinda bunched and hung around my boobs. I stepped out to show Luna Caroline.

“That dress is beautiful but it is not Luna ceremony worthy, but I want to buy it for you. You will need it for other occasions.”

“You do not need to buy me a dress.”

“Don’t argue with me and go place it on a hanger.”

“Can I ask what exactly you are looking for and maybe I can pull out some dresses for you.” The sales lady asked.

I told her that I was looking for a backless dress and the neckline didn’t matter. I also told her that I really like some with lace on it.

She took off and I just went and sat in the dressing room waiting. I was having a great time. I could hear Avery come over, “Mom look at this dress. I think it is perfect. Sophia, where are you? You have to look at this dress.”

I opened my door and Avery had on a black dress that hit just a little lower than her butt and had one shoulder strap and no strap on the other side. It was very form fitting. In fact it looked like it was painted on her, it was tight. It was also black like she wanted. It was perfect for her.

“You look hot in that dress. You wear that tonight and he won’t be able to keep his hands off you.” I said.

She walked over to me and gave me a hug saying “thank you sister.” This made my heart swell. I never thought I would have a family and she just called me a sister. That feeling was short-lived when I looked up and saw some girls from my old pack.

“They let the slave out.” Kate yelled over to me. I just froze in place. I couldn’t move or say anything. Luna Caroline turned to look at what I was looking at. She was mind linking a guard to get over here now.

“Do you miss us because we miss beating on you? I bet your all healed up and I could put some new scars on that ugly body of yours. I can’t believe you actually found someone who would want you. Your disgusting piece of trash. You should have died and not our ranked members.”

Sara grabbed me and shoved me back into the dressing room and closed the door with herself in here with me. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I was trying to gulp in as much air as I could but it was no use. Sara tried touching me and I cowered back into the furthest corner. I could hear someone screaming out there but it all sounded like they were under water. Sara came at me again to help but I just screamed in fear, not recognizing her and letting fear overtake me. I let out another scream. I could hear her talking to me but I had no clue what she was saying. I was still trying to catch my breath but couldn’t and started to see black spots. I tried counting like I had done before, but it wasn’t working. The black spots were getting more and more until that is all I saw.

“Baby girl, you need to wake up. Come back to us.”

“Beautiful, please wake up. I need to see your eyes please.”

I could hear both of them but I don’t know how they got here. I was at the mall. Why am I laying on the floor? I snapped my eyes open and looked at both my mates, but then the whole day came back to me in one big rush. I pushed Xander’s hand away and scooted closer to Kane. The look of hurt that flashed over Xander’s face was not hard to miss. I didn’t feel bad. I couldn’t. He hurt me more than once today. I know something is going on but he won’t tell.

“Baby girl, let’s go home. Don’t worry, those girls are gone and will be dealt with by their Alpha. We have already contacted him.”

I didn’t say anything but got up holding his hand and following him out of the shop.

“I am so sorry girls. I really didn’t mean to ruin our fun. Plus I still don’t have my dress. Avery you are buying that dress.”

“I already did. We will see you at home.”

We walked out to a car and someone I didn’t know got in the front and, while Xander and Kane and I got in the back seat of the SUV. I instantly crawled into Kanes lap. I snuggled into him and started crying as the day’s events started playing in my head. Kane started to rub his hand up and down my back and telling me it would be OK. That those girls wouldn’t hurt me and that nobody ever would.

“I am so sorry. I don’t know why they affected me so much. I know they can’t hurt me anymore. It just brought everything back.

“Beautiful, we would never let anything happen to you. It will be ok. We can bring the dress shop to you at the pack house.”

I lifted my head and just glared at him. I was so angry with the way he treated me today. He had no business acting like he cared right now. He sure as s**t hasn’t cared all day.

“Why do you care? You wouldn’t even talk to me today. You just yelled at me and told me you didn’t have time for me today. Why are you here?”

“Beautiful, I didn’t mean it like that.”

“Just shut it Xander, I don’t want to hear it. Either I am your mate and your equal and you treat me with respect or you don’t. You don’t get to choose the days you want me around and the days you don’t. Until you decide what you want, do not talk to me.”

He just hung his head in shame and kept his mouth shut. I just snuggled closer to Kane, listening to Xander breathe harder as he got madder. I didn’t care, he did this to himself.
