Sophia’s POV

I can’t believe this woman would actually kill an innocent child if I didn’t leave with her. We were going to have to find a way to get her and kill Jules. She stepped forward and tried to drag me with her, but I couldn’t move out of my invisible circle.

“What the f**k is this?” Jules snarled out.

“Were not dumb, we know that you are working with witches and, well, you’re not the only one.” I told her.

“You dumb wolf, you don’t know who you are messing with. Your old Alpha wasn’t smart when he sold you. He sold you to the rouge king and he will not let this go. He paid for you, and he will have you. He has been waiting a long time.” Jules said.

“Who is the rouge king?” I asked.

“It’s better that you don’t know.”

“How about you just give me your child you don’t want, and we will raise her, and you can just move on with your life.”

“You will never get my child. That is my ticket to get out of the mess I created. You will go with me to the king.”

She grabbed my arm and then just disappeared, but I stayed where I was. She quickly appeared again.

“How is that possible? The witch with me said this would work.”

“I told you we have witches working with us and you will not overpower them, and I am also the emerald wolf. Bring me that child or you will regret everything.”

“We will be back, and I can promise you that you will be the one regretting it.” Jules yelled.

They all disappeared, and I turned to walk home.

“Baby girl, you did amazing. We are still here with you but won’t lift the cloaking spell until right before we get home. We want to make sure that they don’t come back.” Kane linked me.

I just nodded my head and headed home. When we had a bright flash of light and Jules was back. s**t, we weren’t prepared for this. I didn’t have the rooted spell in place.

“I told you that if you didn’t come with me easily, I would kill this child and you will be the one at fault.” She said laughing.

She was holding a mini me Xander on her h*p. The child was defiantly not cared for the best. She was dirty and her clothes were rags. I called Stella forward to help me. I knew my eyes were glowing as the forest around me lit up with a green glow. Suddenly, a large fire was raging at her feet. I couldn’t see anyone else around her, so they must also be using a cloaking spell.

“I told you to either come with me or this child will die. I will throw her in the fire. You have about five seconds.” Jules said.

Stella just sat there, staring at her. She started to count down. She got to four and lifted the child up by her arm and held her over the fire. When she said five, Stella produced an extremely bright light, and a shield was placed over the child, and she was floating above everyone. I quickly shifted and attacked her.

I jumped on her and went rolling. She was quick to get her bearings and pin me down, snapping her jaws at me. It didn’t last long as she was quickly thrown off me and pinned down by an invisible force. I knew that it was Xander, and he was going to finish her off. You couldn’t see him but there was b***d flying everywhere. He had gotten his jaws on her neck and ripped it out. Someone else appeared in front of us.

“You will regret killing the B***d Moons, Alpha’s mate, and the rouge king will not take kindly to you not going with us. We will be back.” He disappeared as quickly as he showed up.

Stella brought the child back down who was screaming and scared. I shifted back and caught her as she came down and Stella released her protective bubble. Trevor released the cloaking spell, and I could see everyone that was around us. Xander ran over to us and grabbed his daughter and just started sobbing while holding her close.

“Baby girl, that was amazing. I should never have doubted you. Are you OK?” Kane asked.

“Yes, can we please get home and get some clothes and get this child her brother that she knows.”

We got back to the pack house quickly and opened the safe house doors and everyone ran to their loved ones, happy to see that there were no casualties and no injuries.

“Son, who is this child that you are holding? Where did she come from?” Luna Caroline asked.

“Mom, this is my daughter. Apparently, when Jules left, she was pregnant and didn’t know it. Jules was behind the attack tonight and she was going to kill her if Sophia didn’t go with her willing over, but Sophia saved her life.” Xander said.

Luna Caroline took the child from Xander and started to hug her while she was crying. I just stood back and watched. I really wanted to go and hug Xander, but he wasn’t taking his eyes off Lucy. Kane had gone to find Miles so that they could be reunited and, hopefully, he could calm her down.

“Stella, what if he hates us. We made it look like we were going to let Lucy die and not go with Jules. He does know that we would never let anything happen to her right?” I linked my wolf.

“I don’t know, he feels really confused right now. Jax is struggling with this right now as well. I think maybe we just need to leave them for a while.”

“Let’s go take a shower and lay down.” I linked back to Stella.

I walked away and didn’t say a word. I headed up to our room and quickly slipped into the shower. The hot water felt amazing on my body. I washed away all of today’s events and was ready to start the next chapter of my life but felt very conflicted with everything.

I was so happy that Xander was able to be united with his daughter but on the other hand I would never get that. Not completely because I can’t have kids and Kane would never get that either. I was ready to cry but kept telling myself to be strong and not cry.

“Baby girl, what are you doing? You scared me, I couldn’t find you and you weren’t answering my mind-links.” Kane said as he came into the bathroom.

“Sorry, I was just taking a shower and thinking about what happened tonight. Kane, do you think Xander hates us?” I asked him and I could feel the tears coming on again.

“What, why would you think that? And why do you look like you are going to cry?”

“Because it looked like I was going to let Jules kill his daughter instead of sacrificing myself for her. I would never let that happen. He wouldn’t even look at me afterwards. And I can’t have that. I can’t have pups and I can’t give you pups.” I started crying at this point.

“Baby girl, he is just overwhelmed, and I know that he doesn’t hate you. Why don’t you get out of there and we can get in bed? We have an early morning.”

We crawled in bed, and he wrapped his arms around me like always.

“Baby girl, you were the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen tonight. You will get to have your pups some day, I promise you. We are a family, and we will grow this family to however big you want.” Kane said.

“I know that but it’s not the same. He has a bond with her that we will never get to experience.”

“I promise we will all have that bond. We will find us a pup that we can raise from the day they are born. We can spoil it and smother it with so much love that they will never want to leave us.” He said.

“I love you Kane.”

“I love you to baby girl, now let’s get some sleep we have a big day tomorrow.”
