Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 74

Sophia’s POV

That was the worst night’s sleep I have gotten. Lucy was every which way all night long. I had her feet on my face, in my stomach, at one point she was lying completely on top of me. Her bed couldn’t get here fast enough. She woke me up at six, telling me it was time for breakfast. Xander was already gone. I guess he is in his office.

“OK, let’s get dressed and we can go downstairs for breakfast.”

“NO! I want to cook breakfast.”

“OK, let’s go see what we have.”

I found some pancake mix and syrup. I let her help mix it up and then put her own syrup on it. She had more syrup than pancake, but she was happy. She required a bath after breakfast. I got her ready for daycare and got myself ready for the day. I walked her to the daycare center and dropped her off and headed to Xanders office. I knocked and then let myself in. He was sitting around the table talking with his dad and Trevor.

“Good morning beautiful, how was your night?” He asked me.

“That child is never sleeping with us again. Thank the goddess her bed gets here today.”

“Isn’t that the truth.”

Trevor and Alpha Ty just laughed at us.

“What are you going to do today?” He asked me.

“I think I am going to lay down for a while I wait for our deliveries. After that, I was going to help clean up the room for Konner and Ashley.”

“OK, let me know if you need anything.”

I left them to whatever they were doing and went back to my room. I crawled onto the couch and passed out. I woke up to someone banging on our door. I got up to let them in and was a little dizzy. I must have been sleeping harder than I thought. I showed them the room and went to my room and shut the door and went back to bed. I am exhausted.

“Beautiful, wake up. Come on wake up.” Xander was saying as he shook my shoulder.

“What time is it?”

“6 and you didn’t pick Lucy up from daycare. I thought you said you were getting her?”

“I was. I was just so tired that I fell asleep after I let everyone in to set up her room, I came to lay back down and have been asleep since.”

“Why are you so tired?”

“I don’t know, but I am sorry I didn’t get her. It won’t happen again, where is she?”

“She is with Miles; we need to go get her and surprise her with her room and then some dinner.”

I got up out of bed and was hit with nausea. I ran to the bathroom thinking I would throw up, but it quickly passed. I ran a brush through my hair and came back out with Xander waiting for me.

“Ready?”

“Yes, let’s go get our princess.”

We walked to Miles room and found her playing princess with an unamused Miles.

“Princess, we have surprise for you, want to come with us?”

“YES!”

Xander picked her up and carried her to our floor. We walked into the living room, and he set her down.

“OK, princess are you ready?”

“YES!”

He went over and opened her door, and she ran in screaming with happiness.

“It’s a princess room!”

She busied herself with her new toys. She had the whole toy box emptied in about five minutes. She was trying on every single princess dress that was in there. It took us ten minutes to get her to decide on a dress that she could wear to dinner. After we finally got her down there, everyone gushed over how cute she was. Xander went and fixed our plates and as soon as he set it down in front of me, I was hit with another wave of nausea and ran to the closet bathroom and emptied the contents of my stomach. Not that there was much in there.

“Beautiful, are you OK?”

“Ya, I just don’t feel well.”

“Why don’t we go to the doctor? It’s unusual for a wolf to get sick.”

“I am sure it is just stress. We’ve had a lot going on. I think I am just going to lay down.”

I went back to our room and brushed my teeth and crawled into bed and went back to sleep. I didn’t even hear Xander come to bed, but I woke up at two am starving. I slipped out of bed and went to our little fridge and found some lunch meat and cheese. I had more than one serving of that and then some cookies I found in the cupboard. Once I finally felt full, I went back to bed and was out like a light again.

I woke up to Lucy jumping on me. This child doesn’t sleep! Xander was gone again, and it was only 6 am and his side of the bed was cold, so he had been gone for a while.

“Mommy Mommy, lets cook breakfast.”

“We only have pancakes.”

“I love pancakes!”

We went to the kitchen, and I cooked her pancakes and when she opened the syrup the smell hit me, and I ran for the bathroom again. When I came back out, she was covered in syrup but had eaten everything. I gave her a bath and took her to daycare.

I went to see Xander and knocked once and walked in. This time he was in there with Alpha Ty, Trevor, Luke, and Konner.

“What do you need, beautiful?” He asked me.

“You were just gone when we got up and I wanted to see you.”

“Sorry, but we’re busy with a meeting. Meet me for lunch?” He asked, placing a k**s on my head.

“Ya, sure.”

I decided that I would go spend time in the daycare. I really didn’t know who was watching Lucy all day and that bothered me. I walked in and was greeted by one of the omegas that worked here.

“Hello Luna, how can we help you today?” She asked me.

“I just wanted to check things out and meet Lucy’s teacher.” I told her.

“Of course, she is in the toddler room. Bright yellow door. Please go in.”

“Thank You.”

I walked over to the yellow room and the door was split so you could open either the top or the bottom and leave one closed or open the whole thing. They had the top open so I could see what was going on. They were all running around playing. I spotted Lucy with a group of girls playing with dolls. I opened the door and walked in.

“Luna Sophia, what do we owe the pleasure?” The teacher asked me with a big smile on her face.

“I just wanted to see Lucy’s class.”

“Mommy! Read us a story.” Lucy yelled as soon as she saw me.

I looked at the teacher, looking for permission. She just nodded her head at me and went to get a book.

I sat down on the floor and all the kids sat down in front of me. I read them some book about trains and their passengers. They all seemed to love it. After the story, I found myself coloring with them.

“Alright kids, it’s lunch time,” announced the teacher.

I gave Lucy a hug and left and went to wait for Xander in the dining hall. I went to our table that was empty. I waited and waited but he didn’t show up after an hour. I went to his office to make sure that everything was OK. As usual, I knocked and went in. Everyone was still there, they were around the table with lunch spread out before them, half ate and looking at maps.

“I thought you were meeting me for lunch?” I said as I walked in.

“Sorry, I forgot. Our meeting isn’t over yet, but I will see you for dinner.” He said walking over to me.

He then walked me to the door and shut me out. What the hell? He has never treated me like that. He was hiding something from me. I just knew it. Anytime he got secretive he hid something.

“Stella, do you know what is going on?” I linked her.

“No, Jax has cut me out also.” She replied back.

“There are hiding something, and I don’t like it.” I told her.

“I agree and we need to figure it out.”

I went back up to my room again and laid down until dinner. I wasn’t feeling too bad when dinner time rolled around so I went and got Lucy from daycare, and we went to dinner. I was expecting to see Xander there but like lunch he never showed up. I didn’t even bother to go to his office this time.

After dinner I took Lucy up to our room and we played princess in her room for a little while. Once it was about bedtime I got her in her jammies, and we brushed her teeth. We went back to her room, and she picked out a few books to read. She was asleep by the second book. I closed it and turned her night light off and went to take a shower.

After my shower I laid down in bed and turned on the TV trying not to think of Xander. I know he is hiding something but as usual he doesn’t tell me. I don’t know why he does this, but I plan on asking him when he gets home.

Another round of nausea hits me, and I run to the bathroom and throw up everything I ate for dinner and then some. I think I threw up my actual stomach. I was sweaty and just needed to lay down. I didn’t care if I was lying next to the toilet. I just laid there and let the cool floor cool my body. My eyes were tired and as soon as I closed them, I was sound asleep.
