Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 93
Eric’s POV
The Luna came and had breakfast with me, and she brought me this scrapbook that she made for her other mate. I was so confused. This man looked just like me and his wolf was identical to mine also. He even had the same tattoos as me. I needed to call King Jag again. I know it’s a risk, but I needed answers and I know he had them.
“Hey, River, what do you think?” I linked my wolf.
“I don’t know man, that is us. I mean it looks like us, exactly like us. Sounds like our personalities are the same. You and your damn country music.”
“Don’t knock my music taste, it’s good stuff.”
“No, it sucks.”
I cut the link and turned the TV on and turned it up loud and went into the bathroom and turned the shower on and called King Jag.
“Hey man, how is it going? Got any updates for me?” King Jag said answering his phone.
“No, but you need to tell me what the f**k is going on here!” I yelled at him.
“What do you mean?”
“Her other mate, this Kane guy. What do you know?”
“This again?”
“Ya, she brought me a scrapbook that she made for him, and I am telling you that I am him.”
“You are him.”
“How do you know that?”
“I saw you die and then I found you in the woods. When I found you, I had my suspicions. You didn’t know who you were or anything about you.”
“How did you figure it out?”
“That took a little more work. I had to get something of yours with your DNA on it from before you died. I had someone sneak into your old pack and your old room and stole some of your old stuff and then I took that sample from you and then sent it off to the lab.”
“What the f**k, you couldn’t have told me this sooner?” I yelled at him.
“Would you still have agreed to go there?”
“Yes, she isn’t my mate anymore. I don’t feel the mate bond or any pull towards her.”
“OK then, why does it matter?”
“Because I want to know who I am and where I came from and you know I like to know my real name.”
“Do you love her?”
“No, I just told you I don’t feel the mate bond anymore.”
“So, you will still help me get her?”
“Yes, I wouldn’t turn against you. I just need to know the full truth from now on.”
“OK, good. Don’t call again until you have information for me.”
I disconnected the call and turned the shower off and went and laid in bed. This was blowing my mind. I can’t believe this is where I came from. I needed out of here I needed to burn some energy. I wonder if I can go to the gym. I went to the door and asked the guard if I could use the gym facilities.
“Let me mind link the Alpha, one moment.”
I just stood there and stared at him while he did that.
“Ya, he is fine with that as long as I go with you.”
“Let me change, and we can go.”
I shut the door and quickly changed my clothes and walked back out my door. The guard just started to walk down the stairs and I followed. When we got to the bottom of the stairs, we saw Luna coming with both of her babies. They were brand new, so little. She had them in this little front pouch carrier thing.
“Hey guys, where are you off to?” The Luna asked as she walked up to us.
“I was going to take Eric to the gym so he could get a workout in.” The guard answered for us.
I leaned down to get a better look at her babies and that is when the scent hit me and my wolf at the same time. He started screaming “ours” in my mind.
“Am I really smelling this? Is this baby mine?” I linked my wolf.
“Ya, man. She had our baby. I can smell it. He is ours.” River linked back.
s**t, this changes everything. I really need to clear my head. I don’t know what to do. Can I turn the mother of my child over to someone who thinks he owns her? If I did that, I wouldn’t see my baby.
The Luna ran off as soon as she saw my face. She knows that I know. I don’t think she was ready to tell me.
“Hey Eric, you ready to go to the gym?”
“Ya.”
I walked behind him to the gym. People were staring at me, but I can understand why. I need to find out some more information. I am hoping this guard will be willing to talk. We finally made it to their gym, and they had a nice setup. Any gym equipment you could think of was in here. I could defiantly get used to this.
“Let me know if you need anything else, I will just be over there.” The guard told me.
“Ya, what can you tell me about this Kane guy that everyone seems to think that I am.”
“I don’t know what to tell you. You are exactly like him. From the way you look and talk and act.”
“Well, if you think of anything important about him let me know.”
He walked away and sat on some bleachers, and I went to the treadmill to get a few miles in for a warmup.
