Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 94

Xander’s POV

We had lunch with the girls and we discussed what they found in the library, which was nothing but some stupid spell about being brought back from the dead and going crazy. Trevor had agreed to meet with Eric and see if he could detect a spell. I don’t know what we would do if that was the case. I would have to kill him before he went crazy and I don’t know if I could go through with that and I don’t know if Sophia could move on again. She is so hopeful that we will figure out a way to get his memories back. I still have a weird feeling that we shouldn’t trust him. There was just something off about him.

“Girls, are you going back to the library?” I asked.

“Yes, we were going to.”

“Why don’t you let me keep the babies and then you won’t get distracted.”

“Thank you love.”

They handed the babies off and took off to the library.

“Boys, back to my office.”

We all sat at the table in my office and just stared at each other. I couldn’t take it anymore and broke the silence.

“I think I will have Eric over for dinner tonight and that way he can actually meet his son and maybe I will have Sophia show him some memories. Maybe that will trigger something.” I told them.

“That’s not a bad idea and besides Sophia is pretty sure he scented his son.” Said, Trevor.

We continued to talk about things that would have caused this. I needed to go find Sophia as the boys were getting hungry and I just needed to spend some time with my mate.

“Boys let’s call it a day, I need to spend some time with my mate and kids.”

I got the boys in their little carriers and took off to the library. The girls had their noses in books reading and I swear they had every book we had on the table. I cleared my throat to get their attention.

“Oh, there’s my boys. All three of them. What are you doing here?” Sophia asked.

“I thought I would come to retrieve you and we could spend some time together. I want to talk to you about some stuff.”

“Let me just put my books away.”

She started to put her books away, but the girls told her to leave them, they were going to keep researching them. Sophia came over and gave all three of us a k**s and pulled me out of there by my hand. We walked up to our room, and she sat down to feed the boys. She fed Kane first while I changed Alexander and then we switched babies.

“Beautiful, I want to have Eric over for dinner tonight. I know that he scented his son and he deserves some answers. I also want you to show him some memories. I am hoping that will trigger something but he still deserves the benefit of the doubt. I know he is lying about something but if we can get him to trust us, maybe he will open up.”

“I love that idea. Stella is also excited about it.” Sophia said with the biggest smile on her face. I hadn’t seen her face light up like that since before Kane died.

“OK, I am going to talk to him and then you and I are going to spend the afternoon together.”

“Sounds perfect.”

I walked out of my room and down to where we had Eric staying. The guard at the door just stepped aside as I knocked and waited for him to answer.

“Hello, Alpha, what can I do for you?”

“The Luna and I would like for you to come to dinner in our room. We would like to discuss a few things with you, and I promise her cooking won’t disappoint either.”

“Thank you, I will be there.”

“I will have the guard escort you there at 6 pm.”

“See you then.”

I walked away and headed back to my room. Sophia had the TV on the boys were in their swings. I walked over and laid down on the couch and pulled her down with me.

“Beautiful, what do you want to do this afternoon? Also, I may have told Eric that you would cook dinner and also told him how amazing of a cook you are.”

“Well, that means we have to go to the kitchen to get supplies or the grocery store. To be honest it would be good to get off-pack grounds for a bit. Let’s take the boys on their first adventure.”

“The grocery store is an adventure?”

“When you’re as little as them it is. Also, we’re napping before we go.”

“Deal!”

She snuggled into me further and we both passed out quickly. We were woken up about an hour later by a crying baby. I got up to get Alexander, to see what was wrong and the smell hit me before I could get to him. I pulled him out of his swing when I was met with poop all over my hand. He overfilled his diaper, and it went clear up to his neck.

“Sophia, wake up! I need help!”

“What?”

“Alexander has a problem and needs a bath, and I am covered in poop!”

She got up and busted up laughing as she walked into the bathroom and started to fill the tub. I walked into the bathroom holding Alexander out. She quickly took his clothes off and diaper and wiped him up as best as she could and then took him from me and put him in his baby bath.

“Xander, I love our boys but that is nasty. So glad us wolves don’t have to deal with that!” Jax linked me.

“Jax, just you want until they are bigger, and they want to play with Jax. We will shift and they will climb all over you.”

“I can’t wait.”

“Hey, will you come get Alexander and bring me, Kane? We will just get both of their baths out of the way.” Sophia hollered out to me.

I walked in with Kane and switched her babies and went and got Alexander dressed. Once we were done cleaning the babies, we loaded them in their car seats and headed to the store.

“Beautiful, what are cooking for dinner?”

“Chicken Alfredo.”

“I thought that might be what you make. I know he loves that dish; well, I do too.”

We walked through the store and got lots of looks and sweet comments about the boys. It was interesting and I can say it will be a while before I take them out again. The other shoppers slowed us down with their wanting to look at the boys. We were finally home, and Sophia was cooking dinner.

“Love, I am nervous about tonight.” She said.

“I know me too.”

“What if he never remembers? I don’t know if I can take losing him again. I never stopped loving him and I still love him so much. It is so hard to not just throw myself at him and k**s him.”

“I know but I promise we won’t stop trying until we figure this out. I want him back for you, for his baby and to be honest, I miss my best friend.”

“I wish you would let me spend some time alone with him. Let him get to know me, just me. Not us.”

“Let’s give it some time, he still has to earn his trust. Once he has done that, we can talk about you spending time with him alone.”

She walked over to where I was sitting and sat down in my lap. She started to k**s my neck and moved up to my mouth. I turned her so she was straddling my lap and things were just heating up when someone knocked on the door.

She jumped up out of my lap and I had to adjust myself before she answered the door.
