Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 95

Sophia’s POV

We got interrupted during our make-out session at the kitchen table. I got up to answer the door and that’s when I realized it was actually 6 PM, which meant that Eric was at the door. Xander was quickly behind me and went to open the door, so I ran to set the table. Dinner was just about ready, all I had to do was cook the bread. I wanted to wait until he was here so that it would be warm. Xander walked Eric over to the table and seeing them together again made my heart soar.

“Hello, Eric, how are you?” I asked.

“I am doing good Luna. Thank you for having me for dinner.”

“Please just call me Sophia. Why don’t you sit down? Dinner will be ready in a few minutes.”

I walked back over to my little kitchen area and got the bread out. I placed it in a basket and walked back to the table as soon as it was done. There was an awkward silence between all of us. I didn’t know what to say. I also couldn’t stop looking at him. I forgot how handsome he was. I could feel myself getting aroused just looking at him. I had to look away and get my thoughts under control before they could smell it.

“Girl, just ask him if he has any questions for you.” Stella linked me.

“Stella, I mean what would he have questions about besides everything.”

“It’s like a band-aid just rip it off.”

“So, Eric, how are you getting along here in our pack.”

“It’s been nice. I get some weird looks from people, but they have all been nice to me. Your gym is also amazing.”

This had Xander laughing because he and Kane designed it together.

“The gym is nice. We put a lot of work into it. We want the best so that our pack can be the best.” Xander said.

“Eric, do you have any questions about anything?”

He just stared down at his food for a long time. Nobody said anything but a baby crying finally broke the silence. Xander and I got up at the same time.

“Beautiful, sit down I got him.”

Eric and I continued to be silent. I didn’t know what else to say and I am guessing he didn’t either. We could hear Xander in our room talking to the babies. He was trying to tell them to go back to sleep and that we would stay up late with them if they did. It didn’t work because he came out carrying both of them. He walked over to me to hand one to me and that is when I noticed that Eric’s back stiffened and he looked sad. I still wasn’t sure how to approach this, thankfully Xander took over for me.

“Eric, I know you can scent him and yes you are his father. Your name isn’t Eric. It is Kane. I am not sure what has happened, but you were killed and somehow you were brought back to life. We don’t know if there is a spell involved or if something else happened, but you are where you belong now. We are going to do whatever it takes for you to get your memories back.”

“Can I hold him?”

I got up and handed him, Kane. It was a bittersweet moment for me. I never thought I would get the chance to see him hold his son. Whatever happens, I will never forget this moment. He was taking in his features and just staring at him. You could see his eyes filled with love. My eyes were filling with tears. I was sitting here with both of my mates and they were both holding their sons. This was what I dreamed about every day since I gave birth.

“What is his name?”

“Kane Andrew,” I replied.

“You named him after your other mate?”

“Of course, I loved him. He was the other half of me. My heart belonged to two boys. Half for Xander and half for Kane. Now it belongs to four boys.”

“Can you tell me more about your mate?”

“I can do more than tell you. I can show you.”

“How are you going to show me?”

I looked at Xander for approval to tell him what I was. He just nodded his head at me in approval.

“I am an emerald wolf and I have different powers. One of those powers is to project images. These images are things that have happened to me.”

He didn’t say anything but just looked at me like I was crazy. I got up and dimmed the lights so that the pictures would show up better. I was going to start at the beginning and show him how we fell in love and by the end, I hoped he could see how much I still loved him.

“Stella, are you ready to do this?” I linked her.

“Absolutely girl. We are going to get through this and show him how much love we have for him.”

“Xander, will you please explain each thing as I show him.”

I closed my eyes and let Stella take over. When I opened my eyes, they were glowing. I stared at the wall and brought up the image of when they saved me.

“This is at Sophia’s old pack. She was abused and raped there. We saved her that day. I noticed she was my mate and was in distress and followed her and had mind linked you to come with me. We brought her back here and got her medical care. I, however, was a dumbass and wanted to reject her, while you became her best friend.”

I showed more images of him and me together watching movies and just talking. I skipped over the parts where Xander beat the hell out of him. I jumped to the moment where our mate bond kicked in.

“This is the moment that you two realized that you were mates. Sophia was kidnapped by her old pack, and we rescued her. That was when I accepted the mate bond between her and me and so did she. When you walked back into the room you both felt the mate bond.”

I jumped over and went to the night that they both marked me.

“Really, Sophia, this?” Xander asked.

“Sorry, it was an important moment in our lives.”

“Ok, this is when we both marked her at the same time.”

“Wait, I need to ask a question?” Eric said.

“What is that?”

“Were we gay?”

Xander and I both started laughing, but he was dead serious.

“No, you weren’t. You just happened to share a mate and sometimes you shared me at the same time, but you never so much as even touched each other. I slept in between the two of you at night.”

“Sorry, that is something I have been thinking about. I wondered how it worked.”

I showed him our mating ceremony and then when he died and his funeral. I showed him the ultrasound of the babies and the birth of the babies. When I was all done, I looked up at him and he had tears in his eyes.

“I am sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you,” I said.

“You didn’t, it’s just very obvious how much you loved this man, me. I know there are too many things that line up that I am that guy, but I just can’t remember. I want to remember. I want to be that guy for you but I just don’t remember.”

“I am so glad to hear that. I know you can’t remember but we want to try and help you.” Xander said.

“I need to tell you, guys, that something, but if I do I need to know that I am safe. Before I told you I had to make sure that you were genuine, and that I could trust you and after seeing this I know that I can. Even if I don’t remember who I was, I have to be in my son’s life.”

“You can trust us, and we want you in Kane’s life. Whether that is as a mate with me or just his father. You always have a place here.”

“I am not from the pack that I said I was from.”

“We already figured that, but we don’t know why you lied and where you were staying,” Xander said and you could tell that he was getting upset. I reached my hand over and grabbed his hoping it would calm him a little.

You could see him thinking about what he was going to say next. He leaned down and kissed his son and told him how much he loved him even if he didn’t remember anything and that he hoped he could be in his life forever. This had tears in my eyes because there is nothing that he could say that would change how I felt about him, and he would always be in his son’s life.

“I don’t know, what you guys know but the pack that found me sent me here for a specific reason. However, I will never put my son in jeopardy and by telling you this I am risking my life in more ways than one, but I have to take every chance I can to be with him. I was also just informed by the Alpha that I am Kane but I honestly do not have any memories.” He said and looked up to read our reactions.

“Kane, it’s ok you belong in this pack. Whatever you say we can work through it. You just have to be honest with us,” I told him trying to give him a reassuring smile.

“I was sent here by King Jag.”
