"Promise me that you won't get scared"

"I won't get scared" Her lips were firm.

Right there Shawn knew that it was inevitable and perhaps if he dodged this question, she was going to keep coming back every day, and if she knew anything about the fact that he was hiding something then rest assured that she was going to blow up and tell him that she knows all about the fact that he was hiding his secret from her.

He would not want that day to come or for her to think that he was wicked and selfish, she let him into her life and told him her secret, she told everything that he needed to know and trusted that he would do the same thing her, he never believed that it won't be that way. "Now tell me what it is already" She was eager to know more about her, and he would have thought otherwise of her but that was not the case, there was nothing like that, she was just a curious woman who wanted to know what her husband has been up to lately and why he had been going out if the night and meeting up with people that she know Nothing about.

"Everything that you have known about me has been a lie as well," he said and looked at her wondering if he was scaring her with her story but she wasn't scared at all. She wasn't afraid of anything, when she asked him this, she was already prepared for whatever came her ways, she just didn't decide to open up to him.

Hannah was a very smart woman and she considered the odds, she couldn't keep quiet at all, she was going to end up destroying them especially when anyone could show up at the door steps and tell her things about Shawn and the same goes for her as well. She gave it some thought and after weighing the odds, she had to consider truth as an option, that was the only thing that would save her marriage of whatever it was that she has going on with Shawn. If he had asked for a divorce they wouldn't be having this conversation, they will be on their way to the city council and she would be signing some papers to finalize everything. The process will be fast and she will go her separate way with Shawn.

However, he didn't ask her for a divorce and she didn't ask him for this either side in the eyes of everyone they had a wedding and were still married to each other. She won't be able to get rid of him and doesn't want to, she only wants to know the real him just as he has Finally found out the real her; an illegitimate daughter with a sick mother and a Stepmother and father who does not care about her, a step-sister who is Jealous of her. There was nothing much about her life, she was like an open book and so it made it easy for everyone to read.

"What do you mean by that!" She knows that it must be difficult for him to say just as it was difficult for her to say but they needed to hear it one way or the other. That was the right thing to do, if she didn't do it then they would be back to square one with the both of them still married yet keeping so much From each other, that has never been the kind of marriage that she envisioned for herself, she always wanted to be just better than her mother and father. They were never together and she became an illegitimate child. Her mother was ridiculed most of the times and that made her dad because she had to hear it all by bearing the pain and agony that comes with being an illegitimate Child. Not to mention, her hellish sister who always doesn't miss an opportunity to taunt her and remind her every day that she was Nothing but an abomination that was not supposed to exist, it weighed her down sometimes not exactly because she was an illegitimate child, she could not care less about that but because they had to drag her mother into everything and that got there enraged for so long, that was why the day that she beat her up, she did it with Nothing but smiles on her face.

"No, I don't, all I know is that you are Shawn, and I know about your family business, everyone back home knows that, I guess that I know pretty much what everyone else knows, that is all"

He looked into her eyes and once again he considered if he should tell her about it or just let her believe whatever it was that wants. He can choose to lie to her again but things were getting complicated back in his home town and he might be making another decision that might get her confused and surprised, he would not want her to think that he deceived her When all that he wanted was to keep her safe and way from all of these.

"Tell me what you mean by that, I know that words are by the tip of your tongue, I can feel it and you know what else I can feel? It is your hesitation and fear ans d that is Always not good, nothing will happen, I Will not Judge you, you trusted me and did not judge me so who am I that I should do the same time you, I won't at all you have my word for that" she hoped that her words were enough to reassure him that he was not alone in all these and that perhaps there could be more for than what he was seeing.

"The thing is I am not Shawn, my real name is Liam Hawthorne" He admitted staring deep into her eyes.
