Chapter 54 : I walk away

Chapter 54

Hannah knew that what he was saying was the truth, but then, she still did not want to change her mind and leave with him for another city. Moving Somewhere else was not a bad idea but she was not satisfied that he had wanted her to go with him just after he admitted that they were mates. She thought that he was only trying to say that to get her to agree, but then with the enemy lurking around, she knew it would be rather impossible for her to disagree.

"Are you really going to stick with your decision and decide for me?" she was annoyed yet she tried to hide it, it had not gotten to that and Shawn was to her husband, he accepted her even though she had faked being his bride and did not try to expose her when she was not ready to talk to him about being the substitute bride.

"I am only deciding because you Are being hard-headed and not listening to me when you should"

"I have listened to you and you should have let me think it through the night"

"Will your decision change?"

He ran through his hair looking at her, she was right, he did not give her a chance to think it through but jumped on it right away, he was desperate to leave and head back home, and had not even considered the reason why she had rejected to go with him and was adamant on her decision. somewhere in his heart, he already knew that it was not just because of the fact that he declared that day we were mates, he had studied her long enough to know that she was hiding something from him and did not want to talk about it which is why she needed some space to cool off. right there, he was not sure if he should let her have the space she demanded or if he should hasten up and pack their bags so that they could be on their way right away.

Hannah opened and closed her mouth uncertain what to say she only knew that she just needed to think everything through at least for the night before she could jump on the end session and say something that she might not actually mean and there was the fact that he brought up his family, so many things run through her mind and she looked right back at him.

"Tell me what happened to your parents?" She was concerned, even though he had made the decision for her, he was still one of the few people she considered her family aside from her mother and he had stayed by her side long enough for her to be worried about him. The fact that his enemy was closing in on them made her scared but she will not dare show it. she was not scared about herself, the enemy would never get to her. she thought

She was scared for him, he was the one who was their target, if the Alpha was out of the way the rest of the people would choose another leader who would lead their pack. She does not want that to happen and for Shawn to be without a park, they had no child who would take after him and she was not thinking of giving birth to him even though they were married. That night she had wanted to make love to him. It was only because her body craved for him and there could be no better person who would lead her through a sensuous night of pleasure than Shawn.

When she realized that she was not saying anything, she closed and held his hands, their gaze not parting from each other. she ran her index finger on his face for a moment and then pulled him closer into her arms and embraced him, even though he did not admit it, she knew he was having a hard time and it was getting it to him. he was not the best person to show any sign of what he was feeling two others.

"You know you have to talk to me or else I won't let you go, tell me what happened, I want to hear all about it" She led him to a couch so they could sit and talk. the night was young and they could decide to leave anytime but not tonight, there was a lot between them that they needed to clear out before she let him go, Hannah knew that if he walked out through the door that night that was a possibility that he might not return and she will not get to see him ever again since they are nothing to each other.

"Are you sure you want to hear?" he was not certain anymore what she wanted, she was complicated at the moment.

"Of course, why would I ask you if I don't want to hear you talk about it? if I did not want to I would not have asked" "Well it didn't seem like you cared in the first place" Standing up, he was about to walk away when she held his hand.

"Hang on, what are you talking about? Where are you even going?" she glanced at the wall clock realizing it was almost midnight and he wanted to head out through the door.

"That's none of your business" He was mad at her and she saw that in his eyes with the way his eyes darkened for a moment.

"Shawn" she whispered hating the fact that she was the one who made him this way, he was eagerly waiting for her to come home counting down every minute that passed by and looking out the window waiting to hear her just right outside the house and when he finally did, she was not in the mood to talk and needed some time to cool off. What hurts The Most is the fact that she did not believe anything he said about the destined attraction and that broke his heart, she made him look like a fool, and he had had enough for the night. "What do you want, Hannah? I think you better talk some other time" With that, he walked away leaving her all alone in the living room.
