Chapter 81: What do I want

When Shawn walked up to her and picked up the album, he smiled at the memory as well. That was the first time everyone realized he was made an Alpha. most of his pack members could not believe that he would be an Alpha at such a young age, but he has always proved himself to be capable of leading the Pack. Right from the first day, he would always Sit beside his father's side as he talked to the people, and he had dreamt of always being the one who the pack comes to when there is a problem and the one who protects the territory from attack against other Packs.

"I remember this day"

"Who took this picture?"

"It was my mother"

Lily can only imagine his mother telling him to smile toward the camera, Shawn was not Photogenic and hated the flashes of camera light passing flashing his eyes, however he turned out to be very handsome in all the pictures that his mother had taken of him because she was good with cameras more than his father, Patrick ever was.

Staring into space, the memories lingered in his mind and he had no other option than to let it flow through.

"Mum, are you sure you are going to do great?"

"It is just a drama day, Does it matter what role you play"

"Yes, but I was going to play the Beta when the teacher picked me to be an Alpha"

"Perhaps you're destined to be an Alpha just like your father"

Shawn doesn't say a word about that because not most people believed that he would become an alpha, they called him weak since he was lanky and spent most of his time in the bedroom reading his books and trying to get better grades in school as a high school student. however, most people did not realize that when his father had trivial issues in the pack, he would come to Shawn because he was so smart and he would give him a way to solve the problem, especially with the recent happenings of rogues trying to take over their territory, and casting fear in the lives of many werewolves who got into the woods at night. Now their operations were no longer hidden, and broad daylight robbery was rampant in the park.

"What about my father? is he coming to watch me? has he caught those rogues?"

"Honey, I am not sure that your father can sit in on this one but he promised to watch the video which is why I came with her a video camera to capture every moment that you are on that stage"

"Mum!" he Frowns. "You know I hate lights and camera flashes on my face"

"But you always turn out great in all of them and so I thought this might be better, I turned off the flash so you don't have to worry about that and just do your thing. Now come on, the rest of your pack is waiting for you to get on the stage"

"I would have done better as a Beta than in this role. I don't think I will be a better Alpha"

"You are born to be an alpha and someday you're going to realize that it will be the greatest thing you would ever desire"

"I thought finding your mate is the greatest thing you will ever desire"

"Well that and leading the pack as well"

Shawn was full of so many questions and his mother was getting tired of it, but then she loved him so much and could not just cut him off. pushing towards the stage where the rest of his pack members were waiting for him, he waved at her and got on the stage. The play Started and Shawn was playing his role as the Alpha fighting against the other pack who had attacked his pack and helping his people to get to a safe place while he went back for the rest of his Warriors who had fought alongside him against the other Pack, but then just as he was on the stage acting as an Alpha, he felt a different kind of power surge through him, his bones breaking and fur appeared on his skin and then his eyes turned red making everyone realize that it was not just an act, but he was going to be the next alpha of the pack. His mother was surprised, just a while ago they were talking about it and then it finally happened right on stage in front of everyone. They applauded him and made him an Alpha, a real one at last.

"What are you thinking?" when he heard Lily's voice in his ear, he quickly snapped back to reality.

"Nothing, a while ago he was going down memory lane"

"Remembering everything that happened?"

"Yes I did, I remember that day perfectly and how my mother was by my side, at first I thought it was embarrassing to find out that you are an alpha in front of everyone, but then I loved it a little too much for the attention everyone was given to me when they found that was something that I have never expected"

"I wasn't there on that day but then I was told all about it, and I can only smile Whenever I see this picture"

"Put it away it's all over now, I don't want to walk down that road again or go back down memory anymore"

Lily nodded her head, she understood how he truly felt, it wasn't that he did not love his parents of course he loved them but he loved her as well and so he was battling with so much on his shoulders. On one hand, was the pack and his parents, and on the other hand was Hannah his mate, he had never been so confused in his life.

"Dinner will be ready shortly, would you like to eat alone or should I set the table for the both of you?"

"I don't know if Hannah will want to eat with me, but you can go ahead and set the table for the both of us. I haven't seen her ever since that talk in the living room"

"Alright, I will do that"
