Sweet Redemption Chapter 75

The last thing I remembered was my twin stabbing Omen and the symbols growing so brightly I had to shut my eyes.

I shot up in a bed gasping for air and searching all around me. But I am back in my room, in my apartment. Hands landed on my shoulders startling me.

"Hey hey, it's just me babe." My mates voice sounded before my eyes could focus on her.

Bianca is sitting in front of me, her hands on my shoulders still, and a concerned look on her face. I breathed out a sigh of relief before pulling her into my lap. Bianca let out a squeak of surprise but quickly settled into my touch.

"I am so happy to be home." I told her. The pain that came with being so far away from my mate was nearly unbearable. It was like my soul was being torn in two the whole time I was gone.

Bianca gave a dry laugh. "I'm so happy you are okay." She said and I could feel her relief through the bond.

I pushed Bianca back so that I could look at her face.

"Where is Acaisia? Is she okay?" I asked.

Bianca nodded. "She is with Bou right now. You've been asleep for a few hours." She told me.

I picked Bianca up and set her down on the bed before getting to my feet.

"I have to go see her." I said.

"Babe it's the middle of the night." Bianca said getting to her feet.

"I have to see her Bianca. She's my sister, my twin." I said.

"Okay fine but only for a bit and then you have to come back here and get some more rest." She said.

A few minutes later we were in Bou and Acaisia's bedroom. Bou sat on the edge of their bed and stared at my twin, who was sleeping soundly. She looks to be fine, which was a relief to me. "She hasn't woken up yet." Bou said sadly.

I rested my hand on his shoulder. "She will." I said confidently.

Bou only nodded back to me.

"What happened Ahkari?" Bianca asked me. "We thought we were there to save the both of you but then Acaisia.." She trailed off as she looked down at my sister.

"At first I thought Acaisia was under the spell still but.." I trailed off as my eyes flickered to Bou's. "Apparently Acaisia was the only one of us who wasn't under a spell." I said. "Omen admitted that to me. He took advantage of your guys' situation and used her mental health against us. But it seems my twin is smarter than even I give her credit for." I said with a proud smile. "She was acting with him, she even had me fooled." I said with a laugh. "I'm not sure when she started to play along but I am glad she did." I said. "You think she was pretending to be on Omen's side?" Bianca asked.

I nodded. "Well, she did kill him." I said.

"True." Bianca agreed.

"It was a bit anti-climatic though right?" I said with a laugh. "All of you barged in, guns a blazing, all for Acaisia to sigh and drive a dagger into his chest like it was the most boring activity she could have been doing." "Yeah I guess." Bou said.

"It'll be alright Bou. She will wake up." I told him.

We spent the next hour talking and watching over Acaisia. I started to feel Bianca grow tired so we left. Bianca and I let ourselves out and walked in silence until we were back in our bedroom.

"We should go see Bou first thing in the morning." Bianca said.

"I agree. I want to talk with my sister." I told her as she crawled into bed. "I was gonna take a shower. You don't want to join?" I asked her.

Bianca yawned and flipped the covers over next to her. "Let's just take one in the morning. I'm exhausted." She said then patted the bed beside her.

I smiled at her before stripping down and crawling into bed naked.

The next morning I woke up before my mate. Bianca is wrapped around my body and her head resting over the blanket between my boobs. Since I was not ready to move yet I started to play with her long brown curls. Just yesterday I wasn't sure if I would ever see her again. Now we were together again. This was going to be our lives forever. This is what it is like to be mated to a Morningstar. There would always be a battle we were fighting, but lucky for us we have an army of our own family. Our connections grow every day throughout the realms.

It's about time you got back to your normal self. Sage said in my head.

Sage! I missed you. I told her.

She scoffed at me. You didn't even know I was gone. She argued.

I was under a spell. I defended myself.

And last night? She asked.

I was more concerned with Acaisia. I'm sorry Sage. I told her.

It's okay. I'm just happy to be back together. Don't leave me like that again okay? She asked.

Never. I told her. Where did you even go? I asked her.

I don't know. It was dark and I couldn't hear or see or feel anything. She told me then whined. What happened Kari? She asked.

I spent the next few minutes telling Sage everything that had happened. She listened patiently to me, only letting out whines or growls here and there. After I was done she let out another low growl.

I am glad our twin was able to come to her senses. She said.

Just when I was about to reply, Bianca let out a soft sigh distracting me from my conversation. She wiggled her face between my boobs and I had to fight back a laugh. Then she sighed again, with her face smashed against my breasts.

"Good morning." Came her muffled voice.

I giggled. "Good morning my love." I replied.

Bianca moved her face to look at me. "I love waking up with my face in your perfect tits." She told me before crawling up my body to kiss my lips. "How about that shower now?" She asked after she pulled away.

After our shower, and a bit of shower s*x we dressed and headed over to our twins apartment. When we got there Queen Annag, Tia, Aunt Lenny (when did she get here?) and Robby were sitting at the dinning room table. Bianca walked over to them and I went upstairs to find my sister. I was right outside the door when I heard Max's voice.

"She is fine Bou. She's healing." Max said.

"You said she has no wounds. I looked her over myself." Bou said.

"Not all wounds are visible Bou." Max said softly. "I'm sorry brother, but she will wake up. She just needs some time."

"Max is right Bou." Belle said. "I'll come by every day and check her vitals okay?"

"Okay." Came Bou's defeated voice.

I walked into the room to find them all standing around a still sleeping Acaisia.

"What's going on? Why is she still asleep?" I asked.

All three sets of eyes turned to me sadly.

"We don't really know. We are guessing that she just needs the time to heal." Belle told me.

I walked over and sat on the bed next to my sister. I grabbed her hand in mine and tried to reach out to her wolf. Closing my eyes I tried to concentrate the best I could.

Can you feel Selma? I asked Sage.

Yeah she is in there. She says that she doesn't know why Acaisia won't wake up, she can't talk to her. Sage told me.

How can she not reach her? I asked confused.

Don't know. Sage said. Selma says it is like she is awake but Acaisia is asleep. She told me.

I sighed as I opened my eyes.

"Kari, Tia wants us downstairs. Queen Annag wants to speak with all of us." Max told me softly.

I nodded and stood to my feet.

"I can't leave my mate." Bou argued.

I rested my hand on his arm. "She is okay Bou. We are just going to be downstairs." I told him.

Bou nodded but was reluctant to leave his mate. I couldn't blame him. Eventually he placed a soft kiss to her lips and followed us down the stairs.

"Queen Annag I apologize for making you wait." I said as I bowed to the Queen.

"No need for that my dear and it is quite alright." Queen Annag said with a warm smile. "Is she awake yet?" She asked concerned.

I shook my head. "No." I answered.

The Queen gave me a sad smile. "I will send my best healers to check on her." She said.

"Thank you for that your majesty." Tia told her.

"So," The Queen started. "What exactly happened?" She asked looking at me.

"Well.." I started. We spent the next while talking about what had happened. Bianca and Kee told me about what happened while I was gone. I could tell that they were leaving things out and I was going to question them about it later. I also told Queen Annag about her husband, to which she started crying. When I told her about her son the tears were worse.

"He is still alive?" She asked me.

"That I am unsure of, your majesty. But I have a very good feeling that he is." I told her with an encouraging smile.

"I will continue to look for him tomorrow Queen Annag. Now that we know he is here somewhere it should be easier to find him, even without his memory." Aunt Lenny said.

"I didn't know you've been looking for the lost Prince." Tia commented.

"It was private mission." Lenny said.

"Thank you for looking for him." Queen Annag said to Aunt Lenny as she held her hand. "You are a very courageous person Lennon and I am greatful to call you a friend." The Queen said.

Aunt Lenny smiled at her. "I am very greatful to call you my friend as well Annag."

"And as for the treaty you have been wanting to reevaluate, Atiana." Queen Annag said getting the rest of our attention. "I would like to make a new one as well. Whatever you would like. My loyalties now lie with the Morningstar family." She said. If Tia was surprised she didn't show it.

"You realize what you are saying Queen Annag? You are creating an alliance with not only us but the wolves, the vampires, the witches, and many other races of supernaturals." Tia asked her.

Queen Annag nodded her head. "I am sure my dear. After everything your family has done for me... I trust your judgement." She said. "Besides, it seems that times are chaning. More Fae are finding their mates with other races. Eventually we would all have to come up with something. I am just glad that it is with a family that is so caring and fair towards others." The queen finished.

"I will get the details drawn up then, and give you a call when it is ready." Tia said and then nodded to Max.

The two of them teleported to their office after saying their goodbyes. Queen Annag ended up staying for a few hours, which was amazing. She told Aunt Lenny and I stories about her late husband and son. The twinkle in her eye told us that she regained much of the hope that she had lost.

Over the few hours that Queen Annag was here, Bou had went back upstairs to be with his mate. Robby and Belle eventually left as well. Bianca had made us all hot chocolate since Fae don't drink coffee.

"Oh my this is delicious." Queen Annag said.

We all giggled at her. "Thank you." Bianca said.

"Your son sounds like he was quite the trouble maker." Aunt Lenny commented.

"Oh he was a handful. But he was a good boy. I can't wait to see him again." She said as her eyes glazed over.

Aunt Lenny rested her hand on top of the queen's.

"We will find him. Don't you worry a bit." She told her.

Another hour later and Queen Annag had teleported home. Aunt Lenny offered to sleep on the couch to watch over Bou and Acaisia. So, Bianca and I went home. I couldn't stop thinking about my twin and Bou though.

"I'm worried about them too." Bianca said softly as she crawled into bed with me. "We should go over there every day until she wakes up. Make sure that Bou is okay." She said.

"I agree." I said. "Let's get some sleep. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be another long day." I said.

Boy was I right. For another three days Acaisia had not waken up yet. Bianca and I went over to their apartment every day and stayed all day long. Belle would stop by a few times each day to check on Acaisia. Max and Tia would also stop by every day. She still hadn't woken up.

Bou was so far gone that we had to force him to shower, and to eat. He wouldn't shave and was almost growing a beard at this point. The usual joking and laid back demeanor he always had was long gone. He never smiled and barely reacted as it was. Bianca had to sit with him and practically force him to eat instead of just pushing his food around.

I was happy we decided to stay with him every day. Bou would be in an even worse state if we hadn't. And I knew Bianca was extremely worried about him. She never spoke about it but who wouldn't be upset in Bou's position.

After we woke up the fourth day and Sage told me that Acaisia had still not woken up, I started to feel hopeless. Why wasn't she awake yet? I put on a brave face for my mate and her brother though.

When we showed up at Bou's that morning he was already awake and cooking breakfast. Bianca and I were shocked but I went to check on my twin first. She hadn't even moved since she was brought here.

Over the entire day I triee not to let it show that I was growing more worried. Bou seemed to be in a better mood which was a bit odd to me. Shortly after dinner Bianca and I returned home. We showered together and Bianca did a wonderful job at distracting me from my thoughts.

In the middle of the night I woke up panting. Bianca shot up in bed with me, mumbling incoherently. My breathing was harsh and I wasn't sure what had even woken me up.

"Babe? You okay?" Bianca asked me sleepily.

"I..." I trailed off unsure of how to answer.

Acaisia is awake. Sage told me.

She is?! I shouted as I scrambled to get to my feet.

Wait! Sage shouted in my head making me stop. Her and her mate are making up right now. We can go see her in the morning. They need their time. Sage told me.

I nodded. Okay. You're right. I said and then slowly got back into bed.

Bianca had fallen back asleep before I had even gotten out of bed. When I lay back down beside her she snuggled back up against me. It took a while before I was able to fall back asleep.

The next morning I rushed Bianca to get dressed. It was early, like really early but I needed to go see my sister. I just wanted to make sure that she was okay. Bianca made me wait until at least 9 am though. She said that they probably weren't up yet and if they were they were f*****g and we should give them some space. Finally when my mate allowed me to, I pracitcally ran to the apartment next to ours.

I burst through the door without knocking and my eyes scanned over the room. My twin was sitting on a stool at the island in her kitchen. Bou was at the stove cooking and both turned their eyes to me once I entered.

"You're awake." I breathed out feeling relieved for the first time in days. I walked over to my twin and pulled her into a tight hug.

"Oh okay." Acaisia mumbled as she hugged me back with less strength than I was using. "Okay Kar you are squeezing me a little too tight." She gritted out.

"Shut the f**k up, you deserve it." I said back to her.

Acaisia stayed silent and just hugged me back. After a few minutes I let her go. Tears filled my eyes as I looked her over. Acaisia rolled her eyes at me.

"I'm fine I swear." She said annoyed.

"Don't get an attitude with me. Do you know what you put me through?" I asked as I slapped her arm.

"Ow." Acaisia whined as she held her arm. "Rude." She mumbled.

"You guys are staying for breakfast I assume?" Bou asked us.

"Yeah someone didn't let me eat this morning." Bianca said as she hopped up on the stool next to my twin. "Glad to see you are awake Cais. We were all worried about you." She said.

"If I would have known I would have woken up sooner." Acaisia said with her usual bratty attitude.

"It's nice to see you back to normal." I commented with an eye roll. "You are back to normal right? No more suicidal thoughts?" I asked her.

Acaisia frowned at me. "I am fine Ahkari geez." She said but I only stared at her. Aciaisa sighed. "I am not feeling suicidal anymore. I'm sorry that I scared you." She said. "Honey can I have some of the-" Acaisia started to ask her mate something.

Bou slid a small bowl of mixed fruit in front of her and then winked. Acaisia thanked him and then started eating. Bianca and I looked between them and then at each other.

"I see the two of you are back to normal as well." Bianca commented.

Acaisia blushed and Bou smiled widely.

"We are completely mated now." Bou told us before turning back to the stove.

"Oh really?" I asked my twin with a brow raised.

Aciaisa shrugged. "Yeah well I was done waiting." She said making Bou snort.

"So, how is it?" I asked her.

"How is what?" She asked with a grape in her mouth.

"Being fully bonded?" I asked like it was obvious, because it was.

"Babe can you get me a-" Before she could finish asking Bou grabbed her cup of coffe and topped it off before adding her cream and sugar to it. He slid her the cup and gave her another wink. "It's going very good obviously." She said with a bright smile. "He seems to know what I want before I even ask." She said amused.

"Breakfast is done." Bou said interrupting us. He turned off the stove before turning to his mate. "Go sit at the table and I will bring you a plate." He told her than looked at his sister and I. "You two can help yourselves." He told us.

"Gee thanks." Bianca said with an eyeroll.

Acaisia smiled smugly as she picked up her coffee and bowl of fruit. She walked to the table and sat down. It seems like she is back to normal, genuinely. In fact, she seems happier than I have ever seen her before, definitely more content.

"Go sit with her." Bianca whispered to me and I turned to look at her. "I will bring you a plate." She kissed my cheek and then turned for the stove.

I walked over to my sister and sat down next to her.

"Are you sure you're okay now?" I asked her.

"Yes Ahkari I swear. I know I really scared you and I am really sorry for that." She told me. "But I am fine now. More than fine." She said with a smile.

"What was that back there? Why didn't you tell me what you were planning?" I asked her.

Acaisia sighed. "I wasn't sure what I was doing honestly. After I figured out that I needed to do something I couldn't mind link with you. I tried to warn you with my eyes but I needed to make sure that Omen didn't get suspicious." She told me. I nodded to her. "That makes sense. Just... next time you are feeling like that come and talk to me. I know we were under a spell but still." I told her.

"Okay I promise." She said as Bou set down her plate in front of her. He kissed the top of her head before sitting down.

The rest of the morning was pleasant. We all chatted about anything and everything. It was very obvious that Bou and Acaisia were back to normal and fully mated. They couldn't keep their hands off each other like usual.

After breakfast Bou and Acaisia got dressed and came over to see our apartment. That was when Bou realized that she didn't even get to look around her own apartment. So, we went back there and we all looked around. A few hours later Belle, Robby, Tia, and Max showed up, all carrying food.

"Belle insisted on cooking lunch and bringing it over after she heard Acaisia was awake." Robby told us.

"Belle," Acaisia scolded. "You are too pregnant to be doing all of this." She said.

"Pshh." Belle said waving her off. "I am fine." She insisted.

"You are ready to pop at any moment." Max said with a laugh.

"Where is Kee?" Acaisia asked.

"School. We are having dinner at the main house tonight with the rest of our siblings that have been worried sick about you." Tia told her.

"So, did you guys do it?" I asked Max and Tia after we were all settled at the table.

"Do what?" Acaisia asked.

Tia and Max shared a look before they both nodded to me.

"Okay I am feeling left out." Acaisia whined.

"Thanks to the two of you," Tia started. "Queen Annag and I have made a new treaty. She is now an ally with us. She says she owes the Morningstar family a great debt." Tia told her.

"Holy shit." Aciaisa breathed out as she stared at our sister.

"We did that." I whispered in my twins ear.

"We did?" She asked me, still stunned.

I nodded to her. "Uh yeah! You killed Omen but not before he gave me clues to where the Lost Prince is." I told her.

Acaisia was frozen for a moment before she shook her head. "Wow." She breathed out as she shoveled more food into her mouth.

We all sat and chatted as we ate our lunch. I wanted to say that everything was back to normal but it isn't. It's so much more than that. We are all now a family. Everything is going to be different from now on and I couldn't wait to see what the world brought our way next. Acaisia and I had been through so much in the last month. Now we have our mates, are fully bonded to them, we created a treaty with the Fae and the Dragons, and found more information about the Lost Prince. Life was going to be okay, no, great. Life is going to be great. Acaisia and I shared a look before I spoke up.

"So, what's next?"
