The Alpha’s Rejected Bride -
Chapter 37
When I leave work, I don't see Rayan thank God. I swiftly rush to my room to change. Seeing him after what happened in the dining room this morning will be embarrassing. I've also been ignoring his calls. The door swings open and I hide in my bathroom and peek to see who it is.
I exhale when I realize it's Rhodes.
"Why are you acting strange?" She raises her eyebrows.
"I thought you were Rayan," I say and throw myself on the bed, burying my face among the covers.
"Aaw, love, why are you hiding from the prince," I sit up and face her. I need to tell someone what happened but I'm blushing already before I can begin.
"So, while at breakfast with the prince, things got a little intense,"
She gasps and straightens her back. She is looking Interested now.
"Hmm," she smiles
"He touched me... Everywhere," I say softly and hide my face in my hands.
"It's normal to touch when you're in a relationship," she says nonchalantly.
"Even my V-i-gina," I point down there, her eyes are widening." I c*m like crazy," I say quickly. I'm blushing but she is enjoying my embarrassment.
"Lucy, no one has ever you know, touched you? Wait, are you a virgin," she exclaims and I jump her and cover her lips.
"Yes," I whisper looking around as though it's not just the two of us.
"I thought you had a boyfriend," she says struggling to get away from my grip. She wipes her mouth and scowls.
"Girl, you're strong," she looks surprised.
I shake my head, that's not the discussion here!
"No, Josh and I kissed but we've never been sexually involved, I've always wanted to wait but with Rayan, it's so different and I want to try out things with him. I want him to touch me, I want to feel his c**k around my hand, and gosh!" I blurt out all I've been feeling. That felt good.
"You're Mates, it's understandable. Also, did he make you c*m on the dining table," she smirks, I smile and nod.
"You naughty kids! The king and queen use that table!,"
It was exhilarating and the thought that someone would walk in anytime just made it more thrilling.
I begin to tell her all the indescribable feelings that are overwhelming my heart. I feel like I'd burst with excitement. My life feels almost perfect since I got here, I miss my nana and home but the royal city is now my new home, everyone is kind and nice to me, but Rayan overwrites it all, he is my perfect mate.
"You're glowing, I'm happy you found your mate," Rhodes looks more serious, however, she has a faraway look in her beautiful eyes. I caress her cheeks.
"I've looked everywhere for mine to no avail, maybe he's dead,"
I shake my head.
"Don't say that, he's there and when the time is right, the goddess will bring him to you or vice versa," I encourage her, she suddenly pulls me into a hug. I embrace her tightly
"I'm so happy you came, I'm not happy about the circumstances that led you here but you know what I mean, right?" She croaks. Is she crying?
"I do. I'm happy I'm here too,"
An hour later, Jasper sends me a text, he wants to talk to me. I step out of my room and first look around,
'This is stupid,' Pisces snarls in my head. She wants us to go to Rayan or at least answer his messages but I'm too embarrassed, I acted like a loose woman earlier, what if he thinks I always act that way with men.
As I step into one of the salons we were supposed to meet, Rayan and I come face to face, I immediately turn to leave but bump into Enol's hard chest, I stagger a few feet but he manages to catch me, talk of embarrassing now. Rayan is already coming to me concerned and I can't run.
"Are you alright?" The brothers ask all at once. I close my eyes and rub my forehead.
I exhale and turn to face Rayan.
"Yes," I smile tightly and move past him to take a sit. Jasper is standing near the fireplace and looks at me curiously.
I avoid their stare and biting my nails as I do when I'm getting too much attention. I know Rhodes said I couldn't but I can't help it.
"Um, Okay. So Lucy your blood test is out,"
"Great! You'll send them through my email and I'll go through it," I say and quickly get to my feet. I begin to walk but Rayan pulls me to sit on his lap. He whispers in my ears.
"Are you acting like this because of what happened in the morning?"
I'm so red, why would he say that now?
"What happened in the morning," Enol asks.
" Well, what happens between a partners who have strong feelings towards each other?" Rayan answers and I pray for the earth to open up and swallow me. I feel so conscious, how can he just say this to his little brother? Realization dawns on Enol's face and it contorts to an uncomfortable one before his lips stretch into a sly smile. I can't even face Jasper right now, I simply shake my head
"I know what you're thinking, nothing like that happened," I sigh defensively..
"Not judging," Jasper's voice rings. I glance at him and he's smirking at us.
"Rayan, why would you say that?" I scold, he only holds me tighter and kisses my shoulder. A shiver runs down my spine.
"Stop," I mutter as he continues to leave wet kisses on my back, does this man have no shame whatsoever! I abruptly get up from his lap and take a seat next to him.
His hand automatically touches a little over my knees as usual. I smile and put mine over his.
"So sweet,"
I roll my eyes at Enol. Jasper clears his throat and we give him attention.
"Lucy the results are in,"
"And?" Rayan asks.
"First of all, you have a wolf, a strong wolf unlike most alphas," he starts and my heart pounds. Then why was I unable to shift and why did they say I was Wolfless? All these questions are bombarding my head. "But mom," I stutter.
"You're not only a wolf, Lucy, that's why you didn't shape shift on your sixteen birthday because-" before he can finish his sentence the door burst open, Alora is standing in front of the door. She is panting and smiling at me. The princes rise to their feet and say at
once "Aunt Alora?"
I'm shocked, I look between all of them, Alora smiles.
"Hello, kids. Hi Lucy!" she waves.
"How do you know Lucy?" It's Rayan who asks.
She walks closer to Jasper as she begins to explain how we met in the library.
"Lucy I'm the queen Astrid's sister," she introduces. Wow, I notice they had similar features.
"Did you find anything since we spoke?" I inquire immediately. She nods
The princes are listening attentively as she explains what she has been researching and her discovery.
"Just as I said. Lucy is a hybrid, we also found some unfamiliar medicines In her blood," Jasper explains.
"Lucy have you been on medication," I shake my head negatively, Jasper and the others are in deep thoughts, and I'm beginning to have anxiety. I try to breathe in deeply as I was taught but I wish I still have my medicine. Rayan notices and holds my hand. "Are you alright?" He questions
I exhale sharply, "I get a little anxiety sometimes, it's no big deal. I just wish I had my meds,"
Jasper walks closer to me and monitors my breathing.
"It's mild anxiety, you don't need medication, Lucy," he says gently.
"Wait, you take medicine for anxiety?" Enol questions. I used to take them but I stopped since I left them home.
I nod and Jasper and Rayan share that look.
"How long?" Alora asks, she looks just as curious now.
"As long as I can remember. I used to have it a lot growing up so Mom gave me medicine,"
"Or supernatural power suppressor," mutters Rayan, and Jasper nods. What are they saying?
"There is a certain medicine a group of scientists was working on long ago, they banned the project because they could suppress the creatures within us," Jasper explains.
"Do you think her mother gave her those to suppress her supernatural self?"
"That's the only explanation," my head is starting to spin at the information they are giving me at once.
I'm getting agitated and begin to pace the room.
"Mom accepted the supernatural and she wouldn't have tried to keep me from my wolf!" I exclaim, losing my cool. From what they are discussing, those scientists did some pretty nasty things to creatures for their experiment.
"Yes, but what if it's not your wolf she was trying to suppress," Jasper's voice is gentle. Rayan holds my waist and I breathe in his scent. Like magic, I calm down.
"Then what? There is only one other creature dominant that takes years to suppress," Alora says,
"Dragons," Rayan whispers.
I almost scoff, now they think I have both dragon and werewolf blood in my vein.
"This is Absurd! My mom was human, how can I have dragon blood when Dad was a wolf!" All this is confusing. I close my eyes.
"I tested your blood, it's different and powerful. It's mixed with werewolf and something else but I can't be sure what your other specie is,"
"For the last time my mom was a human, Jasper this is ridiculous!"
A long silence befalls the room, the only thing that can be heard is the flipping of pages in the old book Alora is reading.
"It's the only explanation, if you were any other creature, you would have shifted on your sixteenth birthday. You didn't because your physical strength and mind are not strong enough to accommodate your strong counterparts," Alora explains in a kind tone. "I think your Mom was a supernatural but we need to run more tests on every supernatural blood we have and find out which one fits yours,"
"But my mom.." I mutter, failing to continue as my eyes begin to sting. I'm not okay, all my strength is about to leave me, if Rayan wasn't holding me tightly I would fall.
"Well," jasper sighs.
"I should get to working on the sample of blood, hopefully, one will match Lucy's," he says with a long face.
"No need. It's true,"
We all turn at the voice and my eyes are as wide as saucers.
