The Blind Luna -
Chapter 18
SABRINA SANTIAGO
“Have you ever been to the woods?” Lisa asked, keenly. “I possibly can’t see and Kai wouldn’t be pleased,” I let out an excuse while we had breakfast. “Kai told me you can see when your eyes are blue and right now I think you can see this beauty right in front of you,” she let out and I hated the fact that Kai was this much of a talkative.
“I know your wolf wants to shift and run. Why are you stopping her?” She said, making me wiggle my head. “The wood is dangerous and Kai will get mad,” I maintained. “I will protect you and I can handle Kai,” she assured.
“We are strong enough to protect ourselves,” My wolf siv-mind linked. “I know you want to shift so badly but we can be in danger,” I mind-linked back. “Trust me, you would love it,” she mind-linked.
“Alright, we can go but let’s make it snappy,” I muttered, making her beam with a smile. We both sneaked out through the back door of the pack, not wanting to be sighted by any pack guards. We were finally in the woods as we both shifted into our wolves. Lisa’s wolf was really beautiful, her wolf was purple and I couldn’t help but admire it.
We are running in between leaves in the moist forest. Lisa seemed to be keeping her side of the promise to protect me since we were both running side by side. The feeling of letting my wolf out was amazing and I was beginning to regret why I hadn’t done something like this.
After running for a while, we soon found a tree close to the lake to rest. We both shifted back to our human foam before moving close to the water to drink some and probably pour some on my tired face.
“I didn’t know you could run that fast?” Lisa let out as I tried to catch my breath. “I thought you were a better runner,” I said, splashing the cold water on my face.
“Thank you for convincing me to come,” I said before pulling her into a hug. ” Common, I like you already, at least better than what mother wanted Kai to have as a Luna,” she said, lying down on the floor.
I stared at her before plopping close to her. We both stayed quiet, appreciating the view and nature of the forest. The sound of splashing water was so beautiful to the ear. “It’s beautiful out here,” I said, staring at Lisa, who only gave a nod.
“Tell me, hope my brother isn’t hard on you?” She asked out of the blue. “He just acts like a jerk sometimes, though I know he has a good heart,” I said with a smile. “You must like him to have such blushes on your cheeks.” She said, making me wiggle my head.
“Do you want to play a game?” Lisa asked. “What kind of game? I have never played a game before since I was practically blind,” I replied with a wide eye. Lisa grabbed my hand before rubbing them softly.
“I haven’t had a friend either, since my Pa only trained me so I could protect myself and the pack. You’re my first friend, Sabrina, and we aren’t just friends but family.” She let out, pulling on my cheeks a little.
“What is the game about?” I asked.
“There is a tree that fruits delicious strawberries, the last person to get there has to plug out a hundred of them,” she said with a smirk. “Alright. game,” I let out before shifting into my wolf.
One of my favorite things is being in the woods alone, especially to paint, and I love the feeling of having to run freely in it. I loved it in my old pack and I like it here recently. “I knew you were never going to beat me,” I let out happily, making Lisa chuckle.
“It’s your first time, so I had to let you win,” She mumbled. “You should start getting those strawberries before it gets late,” I let out, with my tongue stuck out mockingly.
“You’re lucky that we are friends and I like you or else you would have been the one in my position,” she said, picking out the strawberry. “Can you hear the footsteps?” I asked Lisa but she seemed to be engrossed in plucking out the strawberry.
I turned to notice an arrow. I ran towards Lisa before shoving her to the ground. “Ouch, what did you do that for?” She asked. “We should leave, an arrow….” I hadn’t completed my statement as another arrow was being shot.
“You should run at the count of three,” Lisa said. “What about you?” I asked her. “I will take care of them, you shouldn’t stop running till you get back to the pack safe” she let out before counting.
“One,”
“Two,”
“Three,”
She finished counting, I stood up and began to run like my life depended on it.
Well, my life relied on it if I wanted to stay alive. I kept nudging so many leaves and my legs kept piercing so many objects, but I cared less. The sound of people trailing behind me made my chest thump hard. I hoped and prayed for someone to save me at this point.
I almost stumbled on the floor as strong arms caught me before pulling me to the side of a huge tree.
“Shush,”

ALPHA RAY D KING
Flashback.
“What is that noise outside?” I let out, looking through the window. “A druid, she wants to see you,” My beta let out. “Send her away, I have enough on my plate already,” I said.
“She says she has a solution to what is happening in the pack,” my beta let out, making me turn. “Let her in, her solution had better be great or she might end up dead,” I told my beta, who nodded before leaving to get her.
“You have to hear what I have to say, Alpha,” the old tattered lady let out. “It had better be something worth my time,” I muttered while sipping the water from the cup. “You went against the moon Goddess and she had laid this curse on your pack,” the lady let out. “What do you mean?” I asked further.
“You dared to crumble what has been mated. You banished Luna and the future Alpha, you need to find them if you want me to help take back the curse that has been laid,” she let out. “I still don’t get it,” I asked.
“The blind Luna needs to be found, she holds your child! The future Alpha” she let out before walking out.
***********
Alpha, two unidentified ladies were found in the woods by our guards,” my beta mind-linked. “How sure are you that one of them isn’t my rejected mate?” I mind-linked back hoping to get good feedback.
“We aren’t so sure because one is very trained and the other is on the run,” he mind-linked. “Find her, we have to make sure she doesn’t slip off my fingers again,” I said, trotting my hand into my messy hair.
I walked to the window to look at my pack. It was dying and I needed to find Sabrina with all spur. She was the only one who could stop the span of this ailment that had befallen my pack.
