The Blind Luna
Chapter 29

SABRINA SANTIAGO

ONE WEEK LATER

One week rolled faster than I expected, today was my bonding with Kai. My cheeks seemed to be a bit puffy so was my tummy which appeared a little grown, not something noticeable though. Today was our bonding with Kai and he seemed to be a little too excited.

I was nervous as Lisa helped me dress up, “Wait, I need to get some pins for your hair or they won’t fit perfectly,” she said, making me nod.

I turned towards the Mirror pushing to the limit of admiring my makeup when the sound of the door pushed open. “Lisa, you got back so fast,” I muttered. “You look happy to raise our pup with someone else,” the voice of Ray muttered, making me shocked. How did he get here? I thought Kai said everywhere would be of high security?

Tiana, she was the only one who had found a way to let him here. “What are you doing here Ray?” I asked as he yanked my hand. “You know why I’m here, we are leaving,” he muttered and I quickly yanked my hand from his grip. I rubbed my hand which was burning from his tight grip.

I took a few steps away from him as my wolf growled at him. “You have no damn right over this pup, remember when you humiliated me? Kai is the only one that has a right over this pup, he accepted me no matter the circumstance and that’s how it’s going to be,” I let out.

“I did nothing wrong Sabrina, the moon Goddess had to mate us at the wrong time,” he said. I could feel the pleas in his voice but I wasn’t planning on listening to anything he said. “You should leave, you can’t do anything,” I muttered angrily.

“Do you know how it feels to be in another pack? If you hadn’t rejected or humiliated me, we might have been the happiest pair, you were supposed to be mine, you were my First Mate and I yearned for the day we would meet but you ruined it.” I said hoping Lisa would arrive anytime soon.

“I’m sorry but I can’t let this happen,” he muttered as I felt a soft substance rub my nose. I began to choke, “what did you do?” I asked as my vision began to blur.

*************************

“Kai,” I muttered as a hand wrapped me.

The scent of Kai filled the air as a puff of relief escaped my lips. “I thought he would take me away, I was scared that I wouldn’t see you again,” I muttered as a little sob escaped my lips. His hand rubbed my back to soothe me as the tears welled down my eyes.

“I will always be here to protect you, princess,” he muttered as he kissed my hair. The thought of Ray having me in his custody made me shake. “Calm down Mi Luz, he isn’t going to have you! Not when I’m alive and breathing.” he says. “I would do anything it takes to protect you, he wasn’t going to get you,” he says as I buried my head in the crook of his neck, I was trying to calm myself down.

“You promise?” I asked and he nodded.

I sprung up from my sleep with a tear. The bed was soft but the room wasn’t one I was familiar with for the past 1month. The last thing I could remember was Ray’s presence. I tried to move but something was stuck in my hand, something like a handcuff. “You should probably stop,” a soft voice let out.

It was the voice of Ray and I hated it. The longer I stared at him, the more I wanted to rip him to shreds. “Why do you have me here, we aren’t mates any longer,” I said, trying to unclasp my hand from the chain. “You should stop that, I would let go of the chains when you are calm. I just don’t want to hurt you,” he said, striding towards me.

“How long have you kept me here?” I asked.

“The poison had kept you out for Two days,” he said and my eyes widened. “You need to get yourself together, we need to introduce you to the people,” he muttered sitting at the edge of the bed.

“I don’t want anything to do with them or you,” I said, spitting on his face. The door pushed open and a lady walked inside. “Dear,” she said, making me stare at her, she had the striking resemblance to Ray. She must be his mother.

“Son, let me have some words with her,” She said as Ray nodded before leaving. He was acting like a good son while he was trash in the heart. “I’m sorry for everything my son has done, trust me! He regrets,” she said but I didn’t want to listen. “Just give me a little of your time, Sabrina, I knew Ray pushed you away, he crossed the line by banishing you and that was wrong,” she muttered.

“Yes, he did all that with pure satisfaction. Why does your son need me now? Because of his selfish interest! He accused me of seducing him but right now he wanted something to do with a child that came out from a night I had no idea or memories of.” I said, wiping the tears that fought to come out.

“His girlfriend went blind a few weeks before you were mated, she left him for a reason that she was blind and couldn’t be of any use to him,” she said, making me scoff. “Like I had said, I don’t care why he did what he did but I ain’t raising my child with him.” I said.

“Alright, don’t do it for my son but for the people,” she said, making me stare at her. “The people here mean nothing to me, they did nothing when I was humiliated and rejected, they had no idea what I passed through in the woods.” I said wishing Kai was here to comfort me.

“I have known your parents for a long time, your mother was like a sister to me. We have gone a long path together,” she muttered and I had no idea why she was driving at a point like this. “I think I should let you rest, tomorrow we have a long way to go,” she muttered before leaving.
