The Blind Luna
Chapter 30

SABRINA SANTIAGO

The orange light shining through the window and the chirping of birds as they sang heartily was the only thing I could hear. The door swung open as Ray’s mother walked inside, she moved close to me before removing the handcuffs from my grip. “I’m not trying to hold you hostage, my child, I just want you to realize how bad that pack is, they have been our mortal enemy for a long time because they have killed so many people, including your parents.” she muttered, even in my weak state, I wanted to know more of why Kai’s pack would kill my parents.

“The witch is here, she can take you through the past,” she muttered. The door to the room plunged open as a woman entered the room before urging Kai’s mother to excuse her. The lady sat close to me before taking my hands into hers, “what if I don’t want to see my past?” I asked, not wanting to see the faces of my parents after a long time.

“Calm down,” the witch said before speaking some incantation that I had no idea of. Soon enough, there was a light and, just like that, I saw myself in a house, basically a room with toys scattered everywhere. I slowly took a few steps back when I noticed my mother walking into the room in Panic. “Sabrina,” she muttered as the little me pushed the wardrobe to come out.

“Your father will follow, we need to leave sweety,” she muttered, holding my little hands and leaving the room. I followed them to notice a group of angry rogues surrounding the house and, just like that, I recognized the face of Kai’s mother. What was she doing here? “You filthy rogue,” she muttered, staring at my mother intensely as the little me clutched her clothes tightly.

“How could you betray me? You were just a fling to restrain the red moon pack from having to attack our pack but you betrayed me, wait, You said you fell in love and ended up having a kid with one of our mortal enemies?” she asked my mother, who pushed me back. “I never betrayed you, Lisa,” my mother said.

“Shut Up Sonia, maybe I should kill your daughter in response to your mistake,” Kai’s mother muttered as my mother held onto me tightly. “I never wanted to be in this from the onset but you still chose me to carry out the operation,” My mother said. “I assigned you because I trusted you, stupid.” Kai’s mother muttered.

“Get the girl,” she ordered as the rogue aimed to get the little me, but my mother turned into a beautiful silver wolf. She held me close as she kicked, and smashed most of the wolves that aimed to come close to me. She was still trying to protect me when Kai’s mother pushed her down with something that seemed like magic.

My mother fell heavily on the floor. Kai’s mother walked toward her before raising her by holding my mother by the neck.

The little me stood watching everything. I seemed to be in uncontrollable tears. I moved closer to try to push Kai’s mother but my hand brushed through her. I watched a strand of tear fall onto my mother’s cheek as she was being choked. She kept trying to breathe.

Where was my father? I thought, as a grey wolf appeared from nowhere. It shoved Kai’s mother to the floor, making her whimper in pain. The wolf walked towards the little me before wiping my tears, “wait behind that tree, only come out when I ask you to,” he muttered. The little me nodded before running to hide.

I watched as Kai’s mother shoved the wolf to the floor. He stood up before using his claws to injure her. He lifted her before flinging her into a tree. I didn’t know who this wolf was but he was powerful. He moved towards my mother before going back into the skin. It was my father.

“Sonia, are you okay?” I heard him say, she tried to talk but couldn’t. “I’m sorry Dominic, I couldn’t protect our daughter,” she muttered. “It’s fine Sonia, you have fulfilled what you can,” he muttered, holding her hands in his giant once.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

“Take care of our daughter, Dominic.” she muttered before her eyes slowly shut down. I watched as tears flowed out of his eyes, he was angry and at the same time sad. I watched as he stood up to go kill the witch but she came out holding the little me in her hand.

“What a great happy ever after,” she muttered. I watched her face light up with a smile, this is exactly what happens when she allows my pack to get cursed. She betrayed me and now my son is blind. How can she have a happy ending when I have a blind son to be called an Alpha?” she said.

“You had better let my daughter go,” My father muttered, with an angry growl. “I think, rather than killing your daughter, I might just choose to take something precious instead. I can’t let my pack have a blind son for an Alpha, your daughter would be better off blind.” she muttered as my father shifted into his wolf. I watched him aim to grab her but she took out a dagger before stabbing him in the chest.

I was in total shock. How did she just kill him so easily? He stared at the little me with pain in his eyes. I ran towards where he plopped soaked in his own b***d. I was mad, angry, furious, and desperate to kill her. What had she done?

I watched as she bent towards the little me. “I wouldn’t hurt you, I would just take something that belongs to my son,” she muttered, as she made some incantation. After a few minutes, the little girl touched her eyes. And just like that, I opened my eyes to notice Ray’s mother in front of me.

“Are you okay?” she asked, trudging towards me, but I moved away. I couldn’t believe what I had just seen. Both packs weren’t my home, they were people who had hurt me and my family in both ways and I wasn’t going to stand back and watch. both mate, both families can’t be forgiven.
