The Bully's Hated Mate
The Bully’s Hated Mate – Chapter 65

LUCIUS’ POV:

I stood at the doors of the throne room, the guards that surrounded him already making their way towards me.

“I’ll deal with this!” He said, his confidence ringing in my ears as he gradually approached me, his swagger never faltering as he strolled towards me.

He let go of his regalia, exposing his broad and bare chest.

He suddenly started to morph. I took this as a cue.

If we were going to fight, then we were going to do it in our true forms. Immediately, I switched to Damon. I realised too late that he was an inch close to me.

I tried to swerve out of the way but he held my forearms and with the power I knew he stole, threw me across the room.

I got my back hit so hard, I tried not to g***n.

Immediately, I stood up and before I could even take a stance, he was already in motion, wheezing the air from my lungs as he landed a punch to my stomach.

I coughed immediately, trying to gasp for air as he forcefully took my chin and pressed the sides of my mouth with so much force, I heard a tooth in the far back of my mouth crack.

I fought his grip, finally freeing my face and spitting out b***d and tooth remains. I coughed some more, spitting and finally taking a killer stance as he stood as though he was bored.

I gestured at him to come to me but he chuckled instead.

Rage filled my bowels.

I went to him, my eyes blurry and anger pushing me through.

The air wheezed out of me as my movements were stopped with yet another punch to my guts. I stood there, midair, his fists deep in my stomach as he twisted it.

A sickening crunch was heard in the whole room and b***d spurted from my lips onto my furry chest.

He sneered at me and even though I was in deep pain, I swiped at him.

I hit him on the cheeks, my claws leaving a nasty mark as he held his face in his hands, letting me go immediately.

I clamped to the floor with a thud and tried to get up.

My whole body was dragged by the hair on my back as his claws dug into me fiercely.

I tried to stop the movement, my claws fighting to hold onto any floor boards as much as I could but nothing worked.

“How dare you?” He shouted and forcefully threw me, farther apart from the door, taking the chair I always sat in when my father called me in here multiple times along with my fall.

The chair shattered like my wrist and I yelped in agony.

I struggled to breathe, my lungs struggling to work as I saw his form approaching in my now blurry vision.

Dragging my legs, he threw me towards the doors of the throne room and I ended up hitting my back on the wall outside of the throne room, taking one of the doors off it’s hinges along with me.

I tried to stand up but as I stood, my legs gave way and I slumped back to the floor.

Cedric began to laugh hysterically and my anger bubbled deeply in me.

I stood up, forcing Damon to pump more adrenaline in my body at a dangerous rate.

I didn’t care.

He rushed towards me, his speed I didn’t prepare for as he rammed into me forcefully, creating a hole in the wall as I came out through the other side.

I was whezzing now, Damon was retreating.

I wanted to fight so bad but I knew I was done for if I continued to fight as Damon.

I switched back to human form and I let out a scream that pierced the very heart and soul of the castle.

Cedric stood over me, dusting his body free of the dust particles that circled his shoulders. He knelt on top of me, placing both of my hands underneath his knees.

My wrist was underneath his left knee and his hands went to my neck instantly.

I saw this as my end as he began to press down.

I struggled to breathe and scream, the pain from my wrist and the stars I was beginning to see, having a competition on what hurt most.

Suddenly, screams and yelling started to ring out from behind Cedric and he stopped.

His hands loosened their grip and I began to take in forceful bouts of air. Just as I was freed, I headbutt his chest while he was distracted.

The force sent him stumbling and I quickly used the opportunity to gain a head start on him, gathering momentum.

I raced past him, noticing that Marcus was fighting the guards and winning.

I was so weak, I felt my legs give out as Cedric caught up with me, sword in hand.

He raised the sword so hard to have my head sliced but his eyes suddenly caught something.

I realized that he was again distracted and used the opportunity to kick his knee with so much force, he tumbled down with so much force.

I got up, trying to get away but he dragged my legs back down.

The sword in hand, he tried to cut me but I managed to morph my teeth into fangs and bit off a great deal of his flesh on his thighs.

For the first time, he screamed in agony.

That simple victory I felt gave me so much power to tousle my way to the top.

I managed to stand up and that’s when my eyes saw the mess ahead.

He saw this and stood up too, trying to stab me again with the sword but I already knew his actions and by some miracle evaded the sword, spinning him around.

He gasped in horror and fell to his knees immediately.

“No!” He suddenly screamed. I looked ahead and found the gaping hole in Ariadne’s chest.

We were at the front of her bedroom and her corpse was the first and the only noticeable things in the room.

I walked past Cedric, immediately worrying where and if Cassia was alright.

I suddenly remembered that she was going after Ariadne before I left.

“Get back here!” I heard Cedric scream as he rushed back towards me.

A new rage burned through me as I caught a glimpse of Cassia’s hand laying flat on the ground.

I bent down so low, breaking Cedric’s balance as I lifted him with my back and onto the floor.

He had taken away my parents!

My birthright!

My kingdom!

It’s people?

And now, Cassia?

My rage burned so much, I fisted both palms and held them in front of me, my wrist hurt so much but the pain that raged in my heart was fiercer.

He charged at me, his fury now evident.

I was ready for him this time, picking his legs as he ran towards me.

I plucked him off his feet, suddenly feeling so much strength coursing through my veins and my anger replenished.

“You took my family!” I shouted as I picked his shoulders and lifted him up.

I threw him back down and his bones gave a loud crack.

His cry of agony ricocheting across the walls that was smeared with the b***d of so many rogues.

I picked him up with his hair and threw him again, sending him further into the room, taking the last door with him.

The splinters from the door, pierced his side and he g*****d while laying there.

He didn’t get up, his human form emerging.

I stood over him, claws ready and sword now in hand.

“Get up!” I shouted at him but he just laid there, unmoving with his eyes open.

“I said. Get the f**k up!” I screamed again.

He still didn’t move.

“This is for my father!” I shouted again, taking my claws and clawing a pound of flesh from his chest.

His scream was music to my ears as he started to cough out b***d.

“This is for the kingdom!” I said and slashed at his thighs.

He screamed but it sounded like he choked instead.

I watched as his face took on the different shades of pain that he could muster.

“And this. This is for Cassia” he watched in horror as I ripped his throat out of his neck. B***d spurted like a stream, spraying my chest with his b***d.

I felt the power he had wielded flow through me like a river.

I looked over to where Cassia lay and immediately, I rushed to her.

I pushed the lifeless corpse of Ariadne out of the way as I knelt before Cassia’s body.

I could still feel the bond. I touched her neck for a pulse

It was there but very weak.

Marcus came to join me as I began to weep.

“Get a healer!” I shouted at no one in particular.

” Get me a healer!!” I shouted at the top of my lungs as I heard scurrying of feet.

Marcus was still with me as I held her palms to my face and kissed it in worry.

I never left her side as healers appeared almost immediately, hauling her on a bench and taking her away.

They tried to pry me away from her but I kept my reluctance.

I was never going to leave her side again, wherever she went then, that was where I was going to go.

Forever and ever.

“Sire” the nurses said and I stood outside the infirmy to let them work.

I paced for more than an hour, noticing the commotion that was occuring now.

We had won the battle and soon, more guards from my pack began to troop into the palace.

Marcus joined them and together they pushed the rogues back to their territory, killing as many as they could. I could hear the battle cries and the screams.

We had won!

We had taken back what was rightfully ours from the start and our oppressors had been vanquished.

The bodies of our traitors were being hauled out and with our body guards, I stood guard.

Immediately they hauled Cedric’s and Ariadne’s, I stopped them.

“Make sure you burn these ones. None of them deserve a burial but these ones deserve to burn for all eternity. Burn it”

The men nodded in understanding as I turned my back, never to again cast my gaze on the two people who were willing to destroy everything I have ever had and worked for in a flash.

Where I stood, outside of the infirmary, refusing treatment myself, a healer came out of the room where Cassia was being treated.

“Sire! She’s awake” she shouted to me.

I have never been so quick to enter a room.

“We won?” Her first words to me.

I rushed to her, nodding my head like a child.

“Oh!” She said, immediately collapsing into my embrace.

I took her face in my arms, and then my palms. The healers taking the notice to leave as we were in an intimate moment.

“I thought I lost you” I said to her, my eyes watering as she looked deep in my eyes, her eyes traveling to my body in a swift motion.

“You’re hurt!” She shouted, surprise lurking in her gaze.

“And you’re alright!” I said to her, trying to hide the emotions that were surfing.

“You need medical attention” she said, noticing the weird shape of my wrist.

She turned her head and was about to call in a healer.

I turned her head towards mine and planted the most passionate k**s I could muster.

In my k**s, I hoped to say how much she meant to me and how much I couldn’t bear to see her in pain. I couldn’t bear to lose her. And how much I really loved her.

I didn’t know when tears began to leak from my eyes.
