The Fall Of Lucian
Chapter 10

Those bright lightning bolts on the mountain peak were interesting to him. It had been so many moons since he had seen that type of movement in her that that day especially caught her entire curiosity.

He had never given any importance to looking in those directions, since he didn’t care in the slightest. But that event that was happening could not be ignored.

Lucian smiles openly, as she observes the events from the top of the summit.

—I wonder, what is he doing? Why is she so restless? —She smiles even more, at the same time that she puts her hands in her pockets.

As the sightings of lights continued, Lucía turned around and retraced her steps.

The depth of the snow became deeper every day, his feet sank almost to the height of his knees. That meant that he was going through the coldest season of the year, which meant that his plans were soon to be fulfilled.

Lucian began to run through the snow and then transformed into a huge white wolf, continuing to advance up the mountain, without stopping. He had to reach the summit.

[…]

—The cabins that I requested to be built will be ready for tomorrow, my lady.

Deisy looks at her beta seriously, then looks down and looks at her hands.

—I have asked that they be ready for this afternoon. What has happened? —The beta tenses.

—Some of the builders have had some accidents, nothing serious, that is why the construction has been delayed, my lady.

—Those families need a home, I need those things to end as soon as possible.

—They will definitely be ready for tomorrow, don’t worry, alpha.

The young woman flattens her lips, it was so annoying that what she ordered was not done in the time she requested. It was clear that her beta was protecting the pack, since that silly excuse that some builders had suffered accidents was not believed.

There were still a few who did not support her as the leader of the pack, solely because she was a woman. For the white wolf people, the leadership of a man was much more important than that of a woman.

However, every day she proved to everyone that she could be as good an alpha as anyone. For that reason she had earned the respect of most of all her people, however; She still had some work to do with those skeptics who continued to make her life somewhat impossible.

—I want you to remove those people who are in poor condition, and replace them with others. I’m sure that if you ask the men who will live in those houses, they won’t hesitate to help you.

—Yes, my lady, immediately.

As soon as her beta makes a move to leave, the commander of the patrol guard enters Deisy’s meeting room. The young wolf seemed dejected and worried, in addition to the fact that most of his clothes were splattered in b***d, especially his hands.

One that didn’t belong to him.

“My alpha,” he says in shock.

-What has happened? —She stands up completely alarmed, it has been a long time since anyone burst into her room stained with b***d —. What is all that b***d? Have they been attacked in the forest?

—My lady, we have found someone in the forest.

She widens her gaze, astonished by the news she remains silent.

-Human?! —She asks curiously, since it had been many moons since humans stopped exploring that forest.

—We don’t know, my alpha, he is unconscious.

-He? —The young albino takes a step—. Is he a man?

That information provided much more intrigue to the young alpha.

—Yes, my lady, he is a man. And he is very badly injured.

-Alpha? —The beta catches her attention.

She knew why she was doing it, many came to her pack because a rumor spread that she received wolves of all kinds, since she then prepared to talk to the alphas of different packs to relocate them where they belonged.

Only those who were albino wolves stayed in her pack. And until that moment, there was no colored wolf in her lands.

—What kind of injuries does he have?

—Enormous wounds, my lady. She has to go see him, they are like wolf bites.

The wolf’s fur bristled instantly. That was not normal, no one came to their pack badly injured, and even less so with wolf bites.

“My alpha,” her beta insists. She can’t bring it.

—But we can’t let him die either. What kind of people do you think we are? He is in my domain, I can’t kick him out of here.

—We don’t know where those bites came from, it could be a trap.

—I will confirm that myself.

The wolf walks upright to her exit, her beta bows towards her.

—Take me to where that man is.

-Yes my Lady.

In the company of the beta and the commander of the guard, Deisy was taken to the place where the dying man lay. She only needed to smell his b***d, that was enough to confirm or rule out certain doubts.

After several kilometers from the herd, the albino arrived at the scene. Many of her men were guarding her domain, but what seemed most strange to her was that this man would be pulling from her borders and those of another alpha’s territory.

She sees him from afar and can’t look at his face.

—My alpha, he is not in our domain. It’s not our responsibility —The beta insists.

—It seems as if he was addressing the pack, wouldn’t he be looking for help?

—We can’t take the risk, it’s better that we leave him there, someone from the neighborhood guard will help him.

Deisy ignored his beta’s suggestions, she knew that she should listen to him, but she couldn’t leave that man abandoned, much less dying in the middle of nowhere.

She approached him, surrounding his body, he was face up. By the time Deisy was in front of that man she felt his chest rumble. She blinks a few times, then frowns.

—He has several wounds on his side, my alpha. He has lost a lot of b***d.

She crouches down, to better observe that mysterious man. She had never seen him in her life, but that was not what was strange to her, but rather the reaction he had caused in her.

The albino checks the wound on the stranger’s side, looking at those huge holes in his body. They were very deep, and a large amount of b***d gushed out of it which was inhumane for a human being.

“He’s not an ordinary human,” she says. You have to take it to the pack to take care of it.

She orders, then puts her foot on.

—My alpha, is she sure about this?

—I have smelled his b***d, and it is not that of that wolf who is on the run.

—Is this man harmless? —Asks the beta.

To tell the truth, he was of the opinion that he was not harmless at all. And he was referring to herself, he didn’t like that reaction he had when she saw him.

—I want you to tend to his wounds in the cell, and he has to be locked up. They also handcuff one of his feet.

He demands, after the body was picked up and carried on a stretcher. She watched every movement of his men, and she also watched him.

That information provided much more intrigue to the young alpha.

Who was?

What were you doing in his domain?

Why did he choose his land to protect himself?

But above all those questions, who the hell had attacked him?

[…]

Sitting in the chair that belonged to her father, Deisy was thinking seriously about the arrival of that individual. She had her so worried, but why? She bites her lips in impatience.

She remembered the dirty and beaten features of that man and felt that shudder inside her again. She immediately stood up, she was so upset.

—Damn, what the hell is this? “She” whispers frustrated.

She begins to walk around the room, looking for an answer to the most alarming question he asked about her: Why did her heart react when she thought of him?

Suddenly, the door to the room is opened and the young wolf who accompanies her everywhere enters. He had adopted her as a puppy, and now he looked at her like a little sister.

—What’s happening, Ria?

—The matriarch has healed the stranger’s wounds, she says they are not healing.

—Don’t they heal? Is she safe? Has she already woken up?

—No my alpha, they don’t heal!, and she hasn’t woken up yet, she’s still the same as they left her in the dungeon.

She looks both ways, licks her lips and then looks at Ria. Deisy walks towards her, passing by her. She leaves the room and leads her steps to the dungeon.

When he arrived, the matriarch was already on her way out. Seeing her she stops and looks at her seriously.

—He still hasn’t woken up, it’s serious, I’m not going to deny it, my alpha. Maybe he won’t make it through the night, that man.

—Because of the severity of the wound?

—B***d loss, and I highly doubt anyone in this pack would want to donate b***d.

—Is that what he needs to live?

-Yeah. Since his wounds do not heal, I fear that he is not a wolf my lady.

Deisy looks up and focuses on the cell door.

—So, he’s a human! In that case, he will die if he fails to resist those injuries.

—Yes, my alpha.

The woman walks away from her, and Deisy decides to enter the cell. Seeing that man lying on the cot, again, that damn tremor made her uneasy. At that moment, the stranger lacked clothing, only a thin, thin white sheet covered what was necessary.

And it’s not that it bothered him to see men without clothes, since he saw many wolves after transforming. But with this one, he was damn different.

She admired that formidable body, he was a very muscular, big man, quite strong and resistant looking. She takes a few steps towards him, picking up the fabric of his off-white dress because the cell was disgusting.

She looks at her features again, and by then, the matriarch along with Ria cleaned her body very well. The albino swallows dryly, that shiny body due to sweat and everything badly injured produced sensations that she had not experienced before.

Not even with that idiot Ethan, who was her wolf by destiny.

He didn’t seem to have the will to wake up, if he spent the night, then he would have time to talk to him.

It was necessary for him to know where he came from and what the hell attacked him, whatever was lurking outside was very aggressive.

She turns to leave the cell, and at that precise moment, she hears the sound of a sigh. Deisy stops short and widens her gaze. Her alarms were going off at that moment.

“Don’t go… go,” I hear in a whisper.
