Lycan Prince Hunter

I'm still on cloud nine after Kailen told me we were having twins. A girl and a boy. I couldn't wait to meet them. And Kailen is going to be the perfect mother. Her cheerful mood was contagious as she walked around the pack house with a smile on her face. I think knowing that she can command others is also fueling her good mood. She could easily control me if she put enough force behind it. I felt the aura when she commanded the doctor, and it was intense. I kind of feel bad for the people I use mine on. Zach and Greyson kept giving me weird looks because Kailen's behaviour doesn't match with what happened last night. I eventually texted both of them.

Me: twins, a girl and a boy. And Kailen can command.

I watched as both of them checked their texts from me. The look on their faces made me laugh.

"How?" Zach exclaimed as he came to stand beside me.

"I'm not giving you the talk." I told him, and he rolled his eyes.

"I mean, how do you know?" He huffed.

"Aurora." I said.

"That's awesome, man." He yelled and I shh him. Everyone was looking at us.

"Just planning a wedding, nothing to see." Zach called out, and I rolled my eyes. Thankfully, everyone went back to doing what they were doing.

I looked over at Kailen. She was talking with her students and she gave me a pointed look before she smiled.

"Twins." Rex exclaimed in my head. He's been wagging his tail since Kailen told us the news.

"We are going to have a princess and a prince." My wolf grinned.

"And all thanks to our beautiful queen," I said, and he howled.

It's going to be a great day even with all these alphas around. And we will eventually need to get down to pack business, but until then, I'm going to be the happiest man alive.

When it was finally time to head upstairs to get ready, I was excited to get this event over with and spend some time with my mate. Zach and Greyson followed as I walked with Kailen to our room. I was about to open the door until Zach stopped me. "Can't go in there." He said, and I raised an eyebrow while Kailen was giggling.

"Why?" I asked him.

"He doesn't want you to see my dress," Kailen said, and I looked at Zach.

"It's not her wedding dress," I exclaimed, and he shrugged.

"But it's worth it." He told me and I sighed.

"Fine, but you stay with her and Cathy the entire time. And get me my suit so I can change in my office." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Don't worry, baby. You can take it off me later." Kailen purred in my head. I looked at her and she was playing with her lips.

"That was mean." I groaned through the link and she giggled.

"I'll be okay. I can use my command. And you are going to love it." She linked, pecking my lips.

"Fine." I groaned. Kailen and Zach fist bumped before Zach went into the room to retrieve my suit bag.

While Zach was in the room, Cathy came upstairs with Thomas. Cathy had a few bags with her, and she was grinning when her eyes met Kailen's. I could see she really cares for her. She must be so happy to have Kailen back in her life, not truly understanding why Kailen left in the first place must have been hard.

"Thomas, you can change in my office with Greyson and I. Zach is going to be staying with the ladies." I told him, and he raised an eyebrow.

"Zach is one of Kailen's girlfriends." Greyson chuckled.

"Hey, I heard that!" Zach called out, and we all laughed.

"He's just jealous of your fabulous taste," Kailen called out. And Greyson rolled his eyes.

"I'm not happy about this. Someone was able to get in there when you were asleep," I told her.

"But I'm not alone. And you know Zach would let nothing happen to me." She told me when Zach came back and handed me my suit bag.

"And I won't either," Cathy said.

"Fine, but keep the link open." I told her before pulling her in for a kiss.

"Promise." She said before Cathy and Zach pulled her into our room, closing the door behind them. I turned to the two warriors, and they both gave me a nod.

"No one goes in." One said, and I nodded.

"I guess we should go get ready," Greyson said.

"I'm sure we have time to get some work done." I told them, walking towards my office.

"Kailen can't take that long to get ready?" Thomas asked and both Greyson and I chuckled.

"It's not Kailen who takes forever. It's Zach." I laughed.

I opened my office door and entered, laying my suit bag on the couch before moving behind my desk. I pulled out my phone to answer some emails and to text my father about the teams that were planning on entering the five packs that we know are involved with Andrew in some way.

It seemed like he had all the teams in position and they all had their orders to lock down the pack houses and go through the finances. Hopefully, then we can get a lead on where the victims are and the blackmail information. I was curious to learn what my uncle was hiding.

When I finally looked up from my phone, Thomas and Greyson were already dressed, minus their suit jackets.

"Hunter, are you almost ready?" Kailen asked through the link.

"Are you done already?" I asked her, stunned.

"I'm just waiting for you to go down to meet everyone in the ballroom. Zach wants me to walk down the stairs to meet you in there." She told me and I rolled my eyes. He's so dramatic.

"Fine. I'll be ready and down there in ten minutes." I told her, rising from my seat to get ready.

"Why didn't you tell me it was time to head down?" I asked Greyson as I got changed.

"You were busy, and it's not like you have anything else to do but put a couple of pieces of clothing on." He shrugged.

"Hunter, how is Kailen doing?" Thomas asked me. He was sitting on the couch.

"She can command. And it's strong. She commanded her doctor, who is an alpha's daughter, like it was nothing. And I even felt the magnitude of it. Before we found out about that, she had asked for a gun." I answered him. "What changed her mood?" He asked me and I sighed. Greyson had already filled him in on the note left in our room.

"Aurora would only give us more information if we knew what we were having," I said, and his face lit up.

"A boy?" he exclaimed.

"And a girl." Greyson blurted.

"Both? Twins?" Thomas proclaimed, and I nodded.

"That's why she is so powerful? My wolf can feel it radiating off of her. She is not only carrying a powerful luna but an alpha," Thomas said.

"That's why we have both been so happy today. Even with everything going on, I can't believe we are having two pups." I told him, smiling.

"Congrats, Hunter. This is wonderful news." Thomas said before we left the office and headed to the ballroom.

I was dressed to impress in my black suit and all the guests should be in the ballroom by now. I thought I'd be walking in with Kailen, but Zach had to put on a show. Kailen looks gorgeous in everything and nothing. "Alright. I'm all ready for you." I told Kailen through the link as I entered the ballroom.

I was greeting alphas and betas with Greyson and Thomas. When the room gasped, I had my back turned to the stairs and didn't notice my beautiful queen walking down them.

Her hair was curled and pulled over one shoulder. Her makeup was done lightly, which just enhanced her beauty as she walked down the steps in a gorgeous emerald green floor-length dress with a slit up to her mid-thigh. The dress hugged her curves as I moved to the bottom of the stairs to meet her.

She was smiling at me, while the entire room was smiling at her. Kailen made being a queen look easy as she walked down the stairs gracefully. Before she reached the bottom, I held out my hand for hers and I helped her down the two steps that were left. I spun her into me before crushing my lips on hers. I would have deepened the kiss if it wasn't for her lipstick.

"Gorgeous." I whispered when I pulled away.

"Worth it?" She asked with a smirk.

"I'll let you know when I'm ripping it off of you." I linked her.

"Hunter?" Greyson called out right before the room filled up with smoke and Kailen was ripped away from me.

"Kailen!" I yelled out, unable to see through the smoke.

Something pricked my neck before I was shoved down on my stomach and cuffs were locked on my wrists. I tried to fight as the silver cuffs burned my wrists and the worst burning sensation took over my body. They have injected me with wolfsbane. "Kailen!" I tried to yell through our link but the wolfsbane had already blocked the link and my wolf.

What the f**k is going on? Where are my warriors? They forced me to my knees, but I was so worried about Kailen. The force of air hit me and the smoke cleared, exposing the person in front of me.

"Alpha Ivan!" I growled out, and he smirked down at me.

"Where is your lovely princess?" He asked, and I scanned the room in a panic. Everyone but the five packs were on their knees like I was. All of my warriors were nowhere to be found, and they barricaded all the doors. The only ones I didn't see were Kailen's students.

"What the f**k is going on?" I demanded, wishing I could command.

"It's a takeover. We are here for the crown and your lovely mate. She may be carrying your pup now, but she won't be for long."
