I open my eyes but I’m met with darkness. I use my wolf’s eyes to adjust to it but I begin to panic immediately, not knowing where I am. I try to move but can’t as I feel numb. My heart is pounding out of my chest, I scream out for help but no one seems to hear me. At this point, my throat hurts and feels too dry. I close my eyes and perk up my ears trying to listen to my surrounding.

I can hear birds chirping, and a strong wind blowing, there is a body of water not far from here and I hear growls in a distance too. The place is humid. I feel drowsy and close my eyes again.

I wake up for the second time, the room has minimal light but I can make out some things, like dark red curtains, there is a long sofa and a small coffee table, there are two doors leading somewhere, maybe a bathroom.

I try to move but my body is unresponsive, so I just lie in the big bed, scanning the room. My heart races, and beads of sweat run down my body when I see a silhouette of a man. He stands up and I realize he’s getting taller as he walks closer and when he comes close, I immediately recognize him.

” You?” I ask in disbelief, did this man kidnap me. He sits at the edge of my bed and caresses my cheek with his fingers, I stir, trying to get away from him.

” Don’t f*****g touch me, you disgusting bastard!” I shout and I’m met with a slap, b***d spattering out of my nose.

“cuida tu lenguaje,” He growls (Watch your mouth now, girl!”) he grabs a fistful of my hair. Tears run down my face from pain and he wipes them away.

Finally, I begin to feel my body strength and I move as far as I can from this man

” The medicine is wearing off, good,” He says, going to the sofa and begins to sniff whatever drugs are there. When he’s done, he lets out a scream of happiness.

” Let me go, Walyne,” I say in a soft voice

” No, you’re sold to me and I will do to you as I please.” More tears roll down my face as a terror runs down my body, I get into a sitting position and put my legs on the floor, I hiss at the coldness.

” Your father sold you to me and he had the guts to back out, imagine the insult!” Walyne is pacing about and growling like a beast trapped in a cage. He curses in multiple languages I don’t know, I duck my head in time as a bottle of whiskey comes flying at me. Fear is gripping my whole being as I look at the sharp glasses on the bed. Walyne seems to be distracted, ranting about something to himself so I rush to the door and try to open it but it won’t budge.

I hear his sick laugh resonates and I cry again. He charges at me, gripping my hair as he drags me toward the bed and throws me there, without a care that they are pieces of glass. I scream as he gets on top of me and squeezes my neck tightly until I lose air, and my body stops fighting him.

” You’re not getting away from here, we are in the middle of the forest and rogues are guarding this place,” He informs me as he lets me go. I cough, rolling off the bed and taking in as much air as I need. I sit on the floor, hugging myself and silently crying.

It’s been about an hour now and the man is still watching me, looking at me like the most interesting thing to see.

” This is satisfying,” He mutters, I bury my face in my lap and he continues ” Watching you like this, shaking and crying,” I hear steps approach and I shrink more, his fingers are caressing my neck and I feel disgusted. I shake my head, losing all hope of leaving, who can even look for me? Happy, Sophie?…. Ahyan? can he come for me? He said he doesn’t want me, I think to myself. I feel so alone.

Waylen k****s my hair and leaves the room, I rush to the door again, but the bastard has locked it! I take this chance to look around the room, ignoring the pain in my back. I go to the windows but they all seem to be glued shut and the ground is very far! I sigh and remove the covers on the bed before lying there.

I open my eyes, It’s another day as I can tell from the time on the clock, the room is still dark with only little light. I was hoping it was a dream and he didn’t kidnap me. I realize I’m wearing a silk dress, how did this happen, did that man change my clothes? The door opens and a woman walks in, she’s short like 5’1 with very short black hair and a faded scar on her cheek. She looks frail yet she can’t be more than 30 years old.

She smiles at me ” Good morning madam, I’m Monique, I will be bringing you your meals, help with baths, and everything else,” She tells me, Monique is standing in front of the mess in the room, she gets a cloth and first cleans the glass table, there was lots of cocaine then picks the broken glasses on the floor.

” I see the boss lost control, it happens a lot, but he’s a good man,” She says, still busy with her work. She picks the covers too and disappears into a room, coming back with fresh ones.

” Where are we?” I ask, my voice is hard and croaked. She looks up at me surprised. Did she think I was mute?

” Can I help you with something, Madam Amara?” I squint my eyes, didn’t this she hear me?

” Where are we? Can you at least tell me if we are in the Royal city?” I ask, irritated.

” I’ll prepare your bath now,” She says in a sweet voice, still wearing a smile on her face. She is acting like a robot.

I don’t wash my body as I want, I notice there are cuts on my side, but it’s nothing my wolf can’t heal, my skin looks extremely pale too.

After coming out of the shower, there are clothes here that fit me and others things I may need like body lotion and deodorant. I notice there is a tray with different food on it.

” You may eat, I’ll see you again in the evening,” The woman exits the room.

I didn’t have an appetite so I just ate the fruites so I don’t starve to death.

Hours after many attempts to escape, I give up, there is only one way out which is the main door.

Days Later.

It’s been two days now, and I’m miserable in this room, I’m growing more and more desperate to leave, I miss my friends and Lulu.

Monique comes to check on me or bring food. The rogue lord was here yesterday to see me but he didn’t say much, just did his drugs and watched me, he tried to touch me but I kicked him in his ball sacs and he hit me several times and told me to learn some respect because he owns me, I’m his w***e. Luckily he left and didn’t do anything more.

After a few hours, Monique is back with a tray of food again, still smiling and acting like I’m not held here against my wishes.

She is sitting in the chair her boss previously occupied, actually reading a book. I’m glaring at her but she only smiles when our gaze meet, what’s wrong with her, she never reacts at all? I growl and throw the tray to the ground.

” Oh my! Accident?” She gasps, bending down to pick the scattered things. I grab her neck quickly and hit her head against the wall, I do it again until she passes out.

” I’m sorry but I need to leave this place.” I have to leave this place for myself and Lushomo. The rogue Lord wants me, and he can’t have me, I don’t belong to him. I can’t live my life in captivity..

I grab a key on her pocket and unlock the room, making sure I lock it from outside before jutting downstairs, this place is huge and has so many passages so I get lost.

I grab the doorknob but slowly back away when someone opens it from outside, Walyne. His eyes are dark, and his wolf has taken over his body. Without saying a word to me, kicks me in the stomach and I fly into a glass table in the foyer, breaking it. I g***n in pain as pieces of glass pierce my skin.

” What did I say about trying to escape?” He roars, his voice is not his anymore but his wolf. I try to stand up but he kicks me again and again until I’m bleeding from my mouth and nose. He carries me by my neck and presses me against the nearest wall.

” Boss, you’ll kill her,” A manly voice says, Walyne throws me to the floor harshly that I hurt my back.

I whimper and try to get away from him but my body feels like it’s on fire and everything hurt.

” Boys, take her back to her room and get me, Monique, I’m going to kill her for this,” He says through clenched teeth, two strong arms carry me, and marches upstairs. They throw me to the floor and I grunt in pain, my wolf immediately starts to heal me but I was injured badly, therefore, will take days or even weeks, we still haven’t shifted so my healing is slower. Monique is also grunting and through my blurred vision, I see her dumb smile. She hits my stomach with her legs.

” That man is ruthless, why would you subject yourself to this? Stupid mutt,” She hisses and leaves to follow the men, pain is coursing through my body and I close my eyes as darkness envelopes me.
