The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection
Billionaire With Husband 428

Chapter 428

Opportunities didn't just fall from the sky. Felix's care for a woman Andrei had never met clearly had deeper reasons. Once Andrei learned that Felix treated Michelle like his own sister, he immediately instructed one of his sons to pursue her.

His son had a knack for wooing women. His skills were so refined that he could charm the daughters of many wealthy families even without relying on his background as the son of the wealthiest man in town. Hence, Michelle, an ordinary girl, was no challenge for him. Returning to the study, Andrei noticed Fabian frowning, and he could guess what was on his mind.

"Mr. Fraser, are you curious about that young man's identity?"

Fabian nodded. "Yes. I saw the whole thing. How could I ignore someone who made you so afraid? We old-timers fear nothing more than these low-profile figures. Messing with them could spell sudden doom."

Andrei sighed bitterly. Fabian had encountered Felix by chance. He, on the other hand, had jumped in willingly. Fortunately, he had only lost an illegitimate son without suffering more significant damage.

"His name is Felix Zeller. All I know is that he can mobilize resources from Dragon Alliance.

Fabian was visibly taken aback. "Impressive! In the past, I wouldn't have given it a second thought, but things are different now. Thanks for the heads-up."

As president of Lionsfield Chamber of Commerce, Fabian had quickly caught wind of the Dragon Alliance's resurgence, which was why he reacted that way.

The next morning, Felix woke up planning to head to Yardley Dining but saw a few trucks driving by his place of stay. It looked like someone was moving in. He didn't pay it much mind until he saw a woman standing at his gate. "Hi, Felix! Surprised?"

It was Sherlyn Holt. Felix walked over and opened the gate.

"What are you doing here?"

"It's not just her. She dragged me along, too," Ernest grumbled as he appeared, sighing repeatedly. Sherlyn quickly linked her arm with his.

"Oh, Grandpa! Don't say that! Didn't you come because you missed Felix? Why are you being so annoying!"

Jairo, who was always by their side, could barely contain his laughter.

"Fine," Ernest relented. "Yes, I wanted to move here. Felix, would it be weird if we became neighbors?"

Felix smiled. "Of course not.'

With Ernest's support, Sherlyn happily hugged him. "You're the best!

"Come over for a meal later, Felix. I'll cook. I've wrapped up my business matters, so I'll be staying in Canraville more often."

Felix was speechless. It seemed his peaceful days were numbered. However, it didn't matter much. Once the Dragonspine in the Yardley Dining was refined, he would head elsewhere to continue his search for the ancient dragon spine. After all, the engagement to Xena no longer bound him.

As he drove his Range Rover, his phone rang. The unfamiliar number gave him the feeling it might be his mentor again. Or was someone else using the Miracle Card?

However, when he answered, it wasn't his mentor on the other end.

"Felix, I didn't expect someone as young as you to be so ruthless."

Confused, Felix asked, "Who are you?"

"Aren't you the one obsessively hunting me down?"

Felix frowned. "Sonny Balcom?"

He could sense a tone of frustration and anger in Sonny's voice.

"That's right! Listen up, Felix. I know I'm not your match, but I have plenty of ways to hurt you. Cancel that ten-billion-dollar bounty you offered to Shadownet, or you'll regret it. Trust me. I know one of your greatest weaknesses." 2
