Inside the envelope was a single sheet of paper with one huge word written on it, "Death",

"Don't worry. It's probably just someone pulling a prank. I'll go check it out," Felix said.

Knowing Felix's abilities, Jack didn't try to stop him. "Alright, but come back quickly. Let me know if it's something serious so I can tell Nessa."

Felix headed to Room V03. Pushing the door open, he saw a young man sitting alone on the couch. The table was lined with unopened bottles of alcohol, and the TV was paused. It was clear he wasn't here to have fun.

"I don't believe we've met before," Felix said as he casually took a seat.

To Felix's surprise, the young man rose to his feet and approached him. Then, he suddenly dropped to his knees in front of him. "Please! I beg you to save my grandfather!"

Felix blinked in confusion. This wasn't what he expected at all. He had thought it might be an enemy coming to pick a fight.

"Please stand up first. Who is your grandfather?" Felix asked.

The young man stayed on his knees, refusing to budge. "I'm from Meadowspring. My grandfather is the village chief."

The mention of Meadowspring immediately brought back memories of the time he had gone there to rescue Michelle. It had happened all because of Ryland and some woman named Pearly.

Felix hadn't recovered his strength at the time, and the situation had been dire. If the old village chief hadn't intervened and let them go, they might have suffered a terrible

outcome.

"Rise to your feet and tell me the whole story," Felix said.

He helped the young man to his feet and motioned for him to sit down.

Even though the village chief's actions had been a way of repaying a favor, hearing this news left Felix feeling a little guilty.

"When you trespassed Meadowspring's forbidden zone that night, we should have killed you according to our village rules. However, my grandfather let you go. We thought that was the end of it, but the Saphira family came and took my grandfather away today," the young man said, his face full of sorrow.

"They said he broke the rules by letting outsiders go and must be punished.

It turned out to be because of that incident.

Felix frowned. "Does the punishment endanger his life?"

"Yes! Three years ago, a man who had attained the Martial God level faced the same punishment. He didn't last even a minute before dying."

No wonder the young man was so desperate.

"I was there that night. Since my grandfather is indebted to you, you must be an extraordinary person. Meadowspring is just a tiny faction of the Saphira family. We don't have the strength or courage to resist them. I have no one else to turn to, so I came to you. Please, save my grandfather!"

The Saphira family was one of the eight great ancient martial clans. Felix wasn't keen on crossing a family like that unless it was absolutely necessary. Who knew how much resources they had at their disposal?

However, ignoring this situation would weigh heavily on his conscience.

"When will the punishment take place?" Felix asked.

"It will take place in the village square tomorrow at sunset," the young man replied.

Standing up, Felix patted him on the shoulder. "I'll come and see what I can do. I can't

Hearing that, the young man looked relieved. "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

On his way back, Felix felt surprisingly calm. After all, he didn't have to get involved. It wasn't like he owed the village chief anything.

However, he knew he couldn't ignore it. He would assess the situation the next day, and if the price to save him was too high, he would have to walk away.

Back in his private room, Nancy was nowhere to be seen. She was probably in the restroom. Vanessa immediately pulled Felix aside.

"So, Felix, what do you think of Nancy?" she asked with a sly smile.
