Chapter 111

Koko’s POV

“I never knew that you were such a scary b!tch, Scarlett, so you would go that far?” I said, looking irritated.

“Go to hell b!tch.” She spat

The judging council had been disbanded, so both Henry and Scarlett had been released from their cells and given good clothes and food. Also, a huge amount of money had been arranged for both of them.

Of course, we had guards at their sides in case they tried anything else.

We were in the throne room and Niyol had told his gamma to remain with his mate until they brought the baby back because he doubted that he would be able to resist the urge to break Scarlett and Henry like broomsticks. However Chester was here as well.

I did not respond to Scarlett’s provocations at me, she was nothing but a mad woman that was being held by her grave wickedness, lack of empathy and satisfaction.

Henry was not talking at all. I couldn’t believe that somewhere in the corner of my heart, I had considered letting them live, but then any consideration for them died the moment I realized that they were able to drive in an innocent child.

They knew that the moment we got Liam back, they would be our target, so they were planning to run away.

They insisted that we signed a contract that we would not chase after them and we signed it so in their minds, they probably thought that everything was going just as they planned it.

However they did not know that I also had a plan of my own, but of course I was not going to reveal it to them.

“Aren’t you slightly curious about how we escaped. It was a really fun plan, aren’t you going to ask us about it…”

At this point, Henry leaned over to her and said in a rather loud whisper.

“Can you just stop what you are trying to do?”

She nudged him away with her elbow.

“Come on, one person in this room must be curious about our grand plan…”

I saw her eye scanning everybody in the room until it landed on someone that was behind me and when I looked back it was Chester.

“If everyone isn’t curious, I’m sure that you should be a little bit right, after all you helped us…”

That again? They had also mentioned it in the notes that had been found in Liam’s crib. Was she just fabricating it to plant a seed of discord between my mate and Chester?

But then, when I saw his reaction I began to wonder if it was true. His eyes widened up as if they were about to fall out and then his chest seemed to be heaving up and down.

Like he was worried or troubled instead of being angry.

“Scarlet I suggest that you keep your mouth shut until it is time for you to be escorted out of here…”

She laughed so long and hard that even Henry seemed to be embarrassed of her and then finally she snapped her head back looking at him

“You can’t be serious right now, come on I can’t take all of the credit, since your help was what really changed the whole thing. If it wasn’t for you you, would we have never been able to do this?”

Finally I could not take it anymore and I walked over to Chester.

“Chester, why is she saying all of this?”

“Koko…” my mate called me from his throne.

“You should know just how manipulative this thing can be now. She is just trying to put bad b***d between us. I have known Chester for years and he would never betray me, especially not for something like this…”

As my mate was passionately defending Chester, it seemed as if all the color in his face was steadily draining out by each passing second.

“I can trust Chester with my life he wouldn-“

Then suddenly he froze and his eyes seemed to get into space. It seemed like he was getting mind-linked and when I looked at Chester I confirmed my suspicion on who it was coming from.

“Koko don’t just listen to anything else she says…”

I went back to my seat and Scarlett did not stop laughing and blabbing rubbish. This time, I made her completely mute in my mind. Finally everything was arranged and then we were to negotiate with them.

“Before we take you to your people, we need to make sure that you are holding up to your side of the bargain, the baby is safe and unharmed right?”

I said to her and she just looked at me crossing her tiny hands and shrugging.

“I don’t know, maybe…”

As soon as she said that, I had to hold Niyol so that he would not end up bashing her head into the wall nearest to her.

“We are not playing the game Scarlet…” I said to her in An icy voice and then it was Henry who spoke.

“We can video chat the people to show you the baby now, and after all you have all signed a contract that you cannot harm us, so we will do you a favor and hand in the baby before we go over to our people…”

I guess those people Henry was talking about were probably associates of his father who had decided to lend him a hand in his crimes, so that was not going to be the only thing they were sharing with him.

In a few minutes we were all driving towards the borders. And when we arrived there, Henry’s associates had already arrived and one of them was holding the crying baby Liam.

The poor baby was crying out his lungs, probably scared at all the strange people that were looking at him and holding him.

“It’s too bad that this is where we have to say goodbye Koko, being in that hole for so long has taught me a little about being satisfied with what I have…”

And then she held Henry’s hand.

“Before you go rushing off, I hope you remember that we agreed that the baby will be brought to us first and then we let you guys go…”

I said to her before she could leap like a frog.

“She didn’t forget…” Henry said, “The only thing we are going to be forgetting is this place. We are going to start a new life out of here and we know that we are going to be safe because you will not even be able to hunt us down.”

Both him and Scarlett snickered like rats looking satisfied that they had once again gotten their way even if it meant such a below-the-belt method. Just looking at both of them made me sick to my stomach.

Then Henry signaled one of the men holding the baby to walk over to us.

“You know that we have to confirm that the baby is Liam first right?”

“Do whatever you want, we get what we want in the end.”

But they didn’t expect what would happen next.
