Jess’s POV

Sasha met me by the garden. “Where’s Rico? Why are we in the garden?” I asked as she led me to the pond. “Rico is tending to some Beta business. We are going to be doing meditation. Your mind needs to be strong as well. If not your powers could consume you.” Oh yea. Rico mentioned something about meditation. “Ok so how would I go about this. I have never meditated before.” “Trust me it was hard for me in the beginning too. Basically you sit and connect your mind to the energy around you.” She said as she showed me how she sits. Sasha was sitting crossed legs by the pond. Her arms were sitting in her lap. I miciced her as I sat down next to her. “Now all you do is close your eyes and feel the energy of everything around you. The water, the air, the birds. Let the energy connect with yours and allow it to move through your body like a gentle river.”

I closed my eyes. I could hear everything, but I wasn’t feeling anything. I opened my eyes and peeked over at Sasha next to me. She was breathing very quietly. She hardly moved, that she could be mistaken for dead. I tried again, closing my eyes. I felt Midnight begin to stur. ‘Midnight what is wrong?’ ‘Jess just calm down and try again. This is our first time trying. Don’t get stressed.’ she said. ‘Yeah your right. I guess the thought of only having 3 months just got to me a bit. Let’s try again.’ I took a deep breath in through my nose and out through my mouth. Claiming myself and feeling the energy around me.

I heard a voice in my mind. ‘Jessabelle?’ It was a girl’s voice, but one I didn’t recognize. ‘Who are you?’ I asked. ‘Please I mean no harm. I wish to meet you in person. I will explain everything then.’ she said. Ok vague, but Midnight wasn’t growling or anything and I could hear the fear in her voice. ‘Fine where do you want to meet?’ I asked. ‘I am in the woods, south of town. I swear I mean no harm and I would like to talk to you alone first.’ I was curious, but with William anywhere. I had to be careful.

‘Alright I will meet you in 30 minutes.’ I opened my eyes and looked towards Sasha. Knowing her she would follow me even if she trusted me. It looked like she was still in deep meditation. I quickly ran towards the woods. “Jess where are you going?” Sasha cried out. I didn’t answer, just ran. Wolf speed comes in handy, but it is more effective in wolf form. After I got far enough away from Sasha and the pack house I stripped and sifted. I ran towards the south woods of the town we passed through last night.

Once we got there Midnight stopped dead in her tracks and sat down. ‘Midnight?’ ‘Our guest is here.’ she replied and turned her head to the right. Walking from behind a tree was a young woman, she looked a few years older than me. She also had a huge scar across her face, but was still beautiful with her rosy pink hair. Midnight wanted me to shift into human form. She felt no threat from this woman. Neither did I, so I shifted back and dressed myself.

“Who are you and how were you able to talk to me without a mindlink?” I asked. She smiled and sat down on a big rock beside her. “My name is Shianna. I am half witch, half wolf. As a witch, as long as I am close enough to my target, I can use my witch essence to speak to them through the energy of nature. It worked better since I caught you in the middle of meditating.” I nod. “Ok and what was so important that you needed to speak with me in person, and alone?” She looked down. “I need your help in more ways than one. First I need you and your pack to know I mean you no harm whatsoever. They would believe you more than a rouge.”

Ok that was ture. Most pack warriors are trained to kill any rouges caught in the pack lands. So far she is telling the truth. “Ok and what about the no harm thing?” Why would she be so big on reminding me over and over that she would not hurt me? “My full name is Shianna Darkwood. The man that is hunting you for your powers is my father, William Darkwood.”

Sasha’s POV

What in the hell?! Jess knows that she can’t mind link anyone in the pack yet. ‘Ruby, we got to find her.’ I shifted and started sniffing for her. ‘It will be a little longer than normal. I have not been around Jess and Midnight long enough to recognize their scent right away.’ s**t! I should wait until I find her. I don’t need the triplets going wild because she took off somewhere. Oh Jess, if you ditched training for something stupid, you are going to get an a*s whooping.

Jess’s POV

I stiffened at the name, and even if my mind was telling me that she is the daughter of the enemy, my heart and Midnight both said that she is of no threat to us. “William’s daughter?! Why are you here? Be truthful I will be able to tell if you are lying to me.” She gently smiled. “Oh I know, but I have nothing to hide from you. I need your help killing William and Tasha.” I was beyond stunned. Even if I hated my parents with my whole body and soul I would never wish someone to kill them. “Why do you want my help in killing your parents?”

She laughed at that. “Parents? That is a good joke. My real father died before I was born, and my mother was so consumed by her grief that she gave into dark forces. Those things in my parents bodies are nothing but corrupted souls of pain and suffering. William is the one that gave me this scar on my face. The only way I can bring them peace and let my true parents’ souls freedom is if I kill them, but I am not strong enough on my own.”

“What about you killing Lady Isabella?” She was the one that killed her. I had to make sure she wasn’t bloodthirsty like William. “I am truly sorry for that. I simply followed orders. If I ever disobeyed William I would get punishments like this scar. I swear I didn’t know she was the luna, until I saw her mate yell at you. You have been in my mind since that day. I have racked my brains for the last 10 years trying to figure out how to save you from that monster.” She started to cry. She was filled with such pain, reget, and most of a feeling useless.She was telling the truth. I could see no evil in her eyes. She may have been born into evil, but she was conceived out of prue love.

“Alright, I will get you to my alphas. No one will harm you. Follow me, before Sasha tells my mates I ditched training and ran off.” She looked confused. “I have triplets for mates and they are very very protective and possessive. If they find out I’m gone they will tear the pack lands up looking for me.” She nodded her head and mouthed an ‘Oh’. So we stripped and shifted. She followed close by me. Once we got to the pack house I saw Sasha running towards us. To say she looked pissed was an understatement. We shifted and dressed, then I caught her wrath.

“JESSABELLE!! Why would you run off like that, without saying a word, and now you came back with a rouge in tow?” Oh boy if Sasha only knew who this girl really was. “Sasha I know I shouldn’t be running off like that, but this was something important. Lets go inside and get everyone together.” Sasha was still fuming, but complied. Boy everyone was in for a shock of who I brought home, especially Sabrina.
