Sabrina’s POV

“I wonder what Jess did this time.” I said to Brandon while I finished cleaning up my potions. “I don’t know, but Sasha said she just ran off earlier and came back with someone that had information for us. I’m sure it couldn’t be that bad.” I smiled at him. Now I kind of understand what Tasha must have felt when she was with William. I don’t know what I would do if I lost Brandon. Brandon must have picked up on my feelings and came up behind me. “Hey don’t worry. I will always come back to you. Even if it is in a different life. I’m yours and your mine.” I smiled and leaned my head onto him. “Come on. Let’s go see this new guest.”

As we walk to the office I take note that Brandon has made me feel more complete than I ever have in my life. We walk into the office to see Nathan, Sasha, Jess, and the triplets. Hero smirks at me as I can see the three of them are already wearing their names shirts, I had made them. I smiled back about to comment, when a soft voice called my attention. “Aunt Sabrina?”

Shianna’s POV

Wow. This place was pretty cool. I felt like I could breathe better here than I ever could before. “Alright Jess, Everyone is in the main office. Except for Rico. He is on his way. He was in town so he will be here in about 15 minutes.” the girl that met us at the front door said, I think her name was Sasha. I follow closely behind Jessabelle into a room full of other people. There were three men that looked exactly the same. Those must be her triplet mates.

Jessabelle went to them and gave each a k**s before she sat on one of their laps and Sasha went and sat next to a tall muscle man, with blonde hair, that draped his arm around her shoulders. They must be mates too. I never really understood this whole mate thing. How could people just fall in love with someone even if they just met. I never thought of mates, because I never knew if I would live or not. For someone like me, being my age and still only able to about ⅛ of my powers is pathetic.

Training would have helped me, but then William and Tasha would have found out about my gifts and stolen them from me. If they had my gift to see people’s souls, they would be able to find gifted wolves while they were children. I rather be weak myself and protect those they could have harmed. Instead of trying to get stronger myself to protect myself. I leaned against the back wall when the doors opened. Another tall man with black hair walks in with a woman with sea blue hair.

“Aunt Sabrina?” I saw her stiffen and everyone else went silent. She slowly turned toward me. Her bright yellow eyes roamed over every inch of me. I couldn’t hold back. I ran toward her and gripped her in a huge hug and started crying in her neck. “I thought you were dead. I am so happy to finally meet you” I said in between my tears. Then I heard Jessabelle’s voice cut through the room. “Angel, meet your niece. Shianna Darkwood.” Before anything else I heard a deep growl and felt a hand on my throat, pinning me to the wall.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE!?” the man with the black hair growled. He stood between me and Aunt Sabrina. Just as fast as this man had grabbed me, he was pulled off me. I coughed a bit as I fell to the floor to catch my breath. When I looked up Jessabelle was between me and everyone else. She used her powers to pull him off of me. “Brandon you need to calm down. She is with me and is not to be harmed in any way.” She laced her voice with full authority, but it wasn’t enough to simmer him down. He growled deeper looking right at me.

Jessabelle turned her head towards her mates and one that had Zero written on his shirt bellowed out “BANDON BLACK CALM DOWN!!!” his alpha voice shook the room and I bared my neck in submission. Then a hand was held out to me. I looked up and it was another one of Jessabelle’s mates, but his shirt read Hero. I took his hand and he helped me up. I looked over and Aunt Sabrina was next to the man, Brandon, that grabbed me. I focused on their souls and gasped. “You and he are mates?!” Jessabelle snapped her head towards me. “Who did you know?” she asked.

I looked down a bit. “My gift is I can see the souls of those around me, I can tell when someone is mated to someone else because in my eyes their souls would merge into the same color once the mate bond hits all parties involved.” They just stared at me, so I continued. “I can also tell if a wolf is gifted, even if they are not of age. Their souls are usually stronger than a normal wolf’s, but I don’t know what kind of gifts they have.” I saw the other male next to Sasha stiffen. “No I mean no harm to your mate, nor Jessabelle. I came here to ask for your help in killing William and Tasha.”

Aunt Sabrina turned towards me. “Are you their child?” I looked down and took a deep breath before I looked up toward her. “Yes I am. Like Jessabelle said. My name is Shianna Darkwood, but the William and Tasha I was born too are nothing more than empty shells. William gave me this scar on my face.” Aunt Sabrina stood and walked over to me, much to her mate’s dislike. She looked me over with sadness and happiness mixed into her eyes.

I looked down to her neck and my eyes widened. The locket she wore was the same one I stole from Tasha. I pulled it out from under my shirt and it matched hers perfectly. She was even more shocked when she saw the locket, then she pulled me into a tight, tight hug. “You really are their daughter.” I was confused. “Um yes, but I have no reason to lie, plus I can’t lie in front of Jessabelle.”

I heard her chuckle a bit. “Oh I know, but you having Tasha’s locket from when we were all together is more than enough proof for me. It is a special locket. Only those in our b***d line, Tasha’s and mine, can wear these lockets. There is a powerful spell that our mother put on them to protect us from evil witches that wanted to kill us when we were children” Wait protect from evil witches. “That explains a lot. I stole this from Tasha. She no longer wore it, but it helped me hide my gift from her tracking spells. At first I just thought I learned to suppress it with my lack of training, but I guess the locket helped more.” I said amazed.

“Lack of training?!” Aunt Sabrina shouted. “Oh honey now that you are here, you will be training with me. A witch’s power is like a ticking time bomb without proper training. We will talk more one on one after this meeting.” I nodded and aunt Sabrina went back to her mate. He looked a bit guilty for jumping to the wrong conclusion. “So is this everyone Jessabelle?” I asked. She smiled kindly at me. “Almost, Rico is on the way, and you can call me Jess.” I just met these people today and I already feel like I lived here longer than in the rouge pack William and Tasha put together.

All of a sudden a sweet calming smell hit my nose. I heard Jess giggle at me for sniffing around the air. It was a mix of hot cocoa and gingerbread. Silver perked up and purred and howled in excitement. ‘Silver? Is this what I think it is?’ Before I got an answer the doors behind me opened and I spun around. I was met with a tall handsome man. He had dark short hair. Short enough that it stayed out of his face, but still long enough for me to run my fingers through.

He had about a foot on me in height, and his white tee-shirt did little to hide the toned muscles he had underneath. My heart was pounding in my chest. ‘Mate!’ Silver howled. I could see her wagging her tail and jumping for joy. Next thing I knew he yanked me towards him, placed his face in the crook of my neck and inhaled deeply. “Mine!” he purred.
