Chapter 59

Jess’s POV

Shianna was actually smiling. I don’t think she even realized it. Rico grabbed her and whisked her away out of the office. I turned to Roy. “Well I guess you did grow up huh?” I teased. Roy’s cheeks started to turn a shade of pink as he scratched the back of his neck. “Well I honestly learned it from you. You forgave us when we made your life a living hell. How could I not show the same courtesy to Shianna. Even I could tell she has suffered more than we have having William as a father.” He growled at the last part.

Layla, who had been quiet this whole time, finally spoke. “Well it is nice that everything is starting to come together, but I will have to ask you to leave Roy. Jess needs to change out of her dress and I don’t think Sophie and my sons will be very happy if you were in the room while she did that.” She said while raising an eyebrow. Roy’s face was priceless, it was as red as a tomato for a second then flashed to almost pure white at the thought of the other four hearing he saw me without clothes on. Roy booked it out of the office, leaving Layla and I to double over laughing.

I changed into some training clothes and went to the training grounds. Raphael and everyone from Thunder Mountain are going to be here around dinner time. It feels like forever since I saw them, even if it has only been a couple of weeks since the whole tournament and finding the triplets. I spot Nathan and Brandon fighting in the ring. I jumped up on the fence and sat down. It looked more to me they were just going through the motions. I was bored watching so I decided to have some fun.

“Hey boys, wanna fight with me? 2 on 1?” They looked conflicted. Before they could come up with a reason to reject me, I glared at them. “Do I need to use my luna tone?” they gulped and shook their heads. I smiled. “Good then get into position, and don’t hold back.”

Marcus’s POV

Roy had told me everything about Shianna and what happened all those years ago. I still feel empty without my loving Isabella with me, but Roy made the right call as alpha. The pain of loss and sadness needs to end. It takes a strong wolf to overcome their own pain and put others first.

I was walking around when I heard grunts. ‘I guess I am near the training grounds. Might as well check things out.’ I make my way over to the grounds and see Jessabelle having a match between two strong looking men. One with blonde hair and one with black hair. They must be a couple of the top fighters of this pack. I mind link Randy and Rachel (Jess’s Parents) to come to the training grounds. They showed up within a few minutes along with a girl that looked like Sophie.

“What is wrong Marcus?” Randy asked. I smiled and pointed over to the ring where Jess was having her match. The girl looked at the scene and laughed. “Oh boy, Layla is going to have a cow if she sees this.” Randy and Rachel just watch in shock and awe as Jess fights two strong men all on her own.

“Nathan, you need more leg training. I thought the tournament would have taught you that.” Jess yelled at the blonde hair man, as she gave him a hard kick in his right leg. He g*****d and landed a punch in her arm. I could tell it was a hard punch, but Jessabelle showed no emotion that it hurt her. She grabbed a hold of his shoulders and spun around and roundhouse kicked him in the side of the head. “Ouch, Nathan’s going to be feeling that later.” the girl spoke up.

Then the man with black hair lunged at Jessabelle. She ducked under his attack and swiped his legs out from under him causing him to lose his balance and topple over that Nathan person. Then the girl that came with Rachel and Randy clapped her hands. “All right Jess, that is enough of kicking the mens a*s. Layla will kill all of us if you have bruises showing tomorrow.” “Awww, come on Sasha. I was feeling restless. How about we go for a round?” Jess laughed and smiled as she turned around.

I don’t remember the last time I saw her smile. She was a serious girl when she was just ten, and then all the hell we put her through I never saw her smile once. Now she is smiling ear to ear and fighting just like an alpha. Jessabelle saw me and her parents again, but she didn’t panic like a few hours ago. She slightly bowed her head to me then turned back to the girl, Sasha.

“So Sasha, what do you need?” Jessabelle asked while using a towel, the black haired man handed her, to wipe off the sweat and bits of dirt. “I came looking for you because your horn dog alphas are looking for you. They want to spend the afternoon with you since Layla is kicking them out of the bedroom tonight.” Sasha said with a wink. Jessabelle turned red and rubbed the back of her neck. I heard a growl from behind me. I saw Randy clenched his fist, so tight they were turning white. “Auntie Jess!!” two little voices cried out of nowhere, then the next thing I saw, Jessabelle was tackled by two children. A small boy and a little girl.

“Auntie Jess, we found you.” the little girl shrieked in joy. Jessabelle laughed as she hugged the kids. “You did. Wow you guys are great trackers already. I think you will put that old man of yours to shame.” She cooed to the children. They had huge grins on their faces. “HEY! Who the hell are you calling old Jessabelle Simons?” A deep voice called out in a growl. We all turned to see a man about the size of Alex coming towards us.

“You!” Jess laughed as she wiggled out of the kids’ hold. She jumped the fence and ran up to the man giving him a tight hug. “Hey! Don’t forget about us now Jess.” Another voice called and a few more people were walking towards us. How many friends did Jessabelle make after she left Red Moon, I wonder. “Oh how could I forget about my precious little Star? What kind of a godmother would I be if I did that?” Jessabelle said while taking a young pup out of a she-wolf’s arms.

Jessabelle blows k****s on the toddler and giggles fill the air. “JESSABELLE SIMONS!!” We hear a woman shout. I turned to see Alpha Raphael from the Thunder Mountain pack and his mate, Luna Odette, coming our way and Luna Odette did not look happy. “UH-oh” Jessabelle mumbled under her breath as she handed the pup back to her mother.

“What on earth are you doing here at the training grounds?! Your Luna Ceremony is tomorrow and you are already covered in scraps and bruises. Are you out of your mind!?” Luna Odette starts to scold Jessabelle, but she sheepishly smiles and takes off running. Randy, Rachel, and I watch in confusion and shock as Luna Odette takes after Jessabelle, while everyone else, including Alpha Raphael, is bent over laughing so much they start crying. “Jess you get your a*s back here right now. I am so not finished with you.”

I looked a bit worried, but then I felt a small tug on my shirt. I looked down and was met with the little girl that tackled Jessabelle in a hug a little bit ago. “You don;t need to be worried sir, this kind of stuff is normal between Auntie Jess and Auntie Odette.” She said with a sweet smile. I gently smile in return. Then Alpha Raphael cleared his throat. “Well while Odette and Jess are busy catching up, how about we move to the dining room for lunch and get acquainted?” He suggests and with everyone nodding in agreement, we all head back inside.
